I hear Russian. As ESO is the only exposure to Elder Scrolls I've ever had, I had thought that was on purpose. Is that not supposed to be what their language is based on?

in TES4 Oblivion khajiit and argonian voices are the same; nord and orsimer voices are the same; dunmer bosmer and altmer the same; male imperial, redguard, and breton are unique; female imperials and bretons are the same

khajiit voices in TES5 Skyrim are much different than those in TES4. (can't say for ESO because I'm not playing the english version). It seems like voices are up to each game's interpretation or capabilities

There are a a few languages that use a English long "e" sound for the Latin character "i" and roll their "r" sound...

I know a few Russians and it does not sound Russian to me. I know a few Spanish speakers and it doesn't really sound Spanish to me. I also happen to know a few Serbians and it doesn't really sound "Eastern European" to me (there are a lot of eastern European dialects and languages, but I assume people are referring to the more Slavic ones).

It sounds to me like an English speaker is converting "i" to a long "e", rolling the "r", and speaking in 3rd person with the use of "This one" to identify his/herself.

Or we could just say it is a fantasy Khajiit accent and leave it at that.
