To open up the game a little more...is it time?

p.s. I say that because after watching this 1.5 million gold tourney, some of the fights got really stale with the same skills over and over...just curious what you think...

Only if there are a new weapon skill line or new ability skill line that everyone can use but remember sorcerers have a third weapon skill bar.

Why would you need more skill lines...I envision just being able to go deeper into your class, guild, alliance, etc, skills...

Why dont we just go to a system where you can have 24 skills on screen at one time and can just click on each one individually or macro a bunch together. Then you slow down combat so we dont have to worry about active combat.

Or you could just play WoW.

You have to balance it out for everyone to have a fair game and yes I agree with you on adding more to your class.

STO on consoles uses a system where you can set skill behaviors to automatically trigger (ie. heal me when I'm below 75% health, enable sheild when first entering combat, etc.). There's a quite a bit of customization available in the system to get additional skills integrated into combat with limited controller buttons.

This assumes that the consoles are the limiting factors... which I suspect is true.

No. and im even excited if ZoS might actually add skill CD to some of them...making them more of strategic use rather than brainless spam.

LOL, WTH does adding one more skill bar (5 skills and 1 ulti since EVERY class has 3) have to do with WoW and 24 skills or Macros which already exist on PC...

Well as it is, you can exploit the third bar on a sorc and gain more skills available than every other class...

Well...with the limited number of skills (10) you really are limited to 3-4 attacks right, which is why a 3rd bar could help diversity...

So you trying to tell me that adding third bar, that would allow us to slot all useful skills (as many of them is trash), would increase diversity? How? Can you post 3 diverse PvE good builds (just the skills) for magicka DK or templar with 3 skill bars?

A lot of the skills and combat as a whole could use an overhaul but we definitely don't need a third skill bar. It's hard enough on a laggy server to bar swap let alone need to swap through three.

Two skill bars per weapon. No cool down when swapping bars on same weapon.

Controller will use up arrow to cycle between the main hand bars. Down arrow to cycle between backup weapon bars.

It was designed to support Consoles. Wider audience, more customers, more profit. If you want them to alienate thousands go right ahead and ask them to.

I think the amount of abilities was to compensate this game was since development was planned to go on console. I wouldnt mind a platform segregation where pc gets more buttons for more combat variety and console remains the same for balance purposes

a 3rd bar shouldn't be a problem, as with the soerc, use it for long buffs and generally skills that don't require immediate attention, its really not a hard concept

Alternatively, I'd love to see a loadout system where you can save and load sets of skills and equipment. For example you could have one set for soloing, one for PvE groups and one for PvP.

With the current system it's really annoying to have to rearrange everything depending on what I want to do because of the limited slots (at least it is as a tank).

Something like that would work around the low number of skill slots and it would make situational skills more attractive. It would also work within the limitations of controllers.

The current system (no cooldown, limited skill slots) is what makes ESO's combat system what it is. Changing it to an extent as proposed here would mean totally changing the way combat works in this game. So, no please. I'd like to play ESO and not WOW or Nox Online. ;)

It would be nice to have an extra slot or 2, for skills that have passives.

I used to play Lineage 2. When I stopped it I could use 4 skill bars with 12 skills, consumables, special things on the bars. It was a click and press game but still. At the moment they have 5 skill bars, even more skills, special things. You can have also buffs long term, short term, self buffs also, a lot of classes. That depth in there still amazes me. You can even have macros. So sad they turned that to a pay to win game.

When I started ESO it felt like this game is made so simple so everyone can play it. Still feels like it but if you take your time you still have lots of variation how you want to build your chars. This game is a lot more casual friendly. Lineage 2 is a hardcore grind MMO, Korean not a surprise.

Anyway so system like you can have with a sorcerer's Overcharge can be good, so you can have your 2 main skill bars and 1 extra which can be for some special events like makes you damn strong for 10 seconds or so or the more enemy you kill during that special skill bar the more time you can use it. Will make grinding a breeze could be good to pop it up during the raid. I would like to see more buff, more debuffs from classes aswell. Maybe some kind of auras which applies for the whole group but comes from the class not from a set or skills(passive can be).
