What level would you recommend to solo world bosses and public dungeons?

I used to struggle a bit with this game but now I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to breeze through most of the content, even the delve bosses don't really trouble me now (which they did for a long time).

I've only just finished Vvardenfell and was thinking about moving onto Clockwork City BUT the only thing left to 100% Vvardenfell is the world bosses and public dungeons (and the trial), which I have purposely avoided because I get slaughtered every time I attempt them.

Currently using my only character, who is a level 49 d/w stamblade, with full-leather gear and dwarven weapons. 4 set for gladiator, 5 set for night's silence. All have the training trait at the moment. I'm constantly mixing up my skills to experiment, currently have reaper's mark, surprise attack, swallow soul, blood craze, whirling blades and rend on my main.

I just tried doing Forgotten Wastes and again I seem to be overwhelmingly unprepared for it and die many many times.

So I'm back to 'I'll just wait until I level up more' mode. But will it actually get easier? I'm always seeing CPs in the hundreds running around public dungeons but never really levels 1-50.

    your level does not matter..

Its all about Powerfull Set Bonuses + Tons of CPs......

from lvl1 to all the way to 50 you prety much not getting any stronger outside of getting more skills but power wise your char not changes....

lvl50 cp160 then get Entire full sets.... then you suddenly notice a HUGE spike of both selfsustain and dmg and it will only go even more up from there....

with realy high CP + a realy good gear set you literaly gonna do like 100% more dmg and have like 30-50% more dmg reduction and self sustain then in lvl1-50 without sets and CP

My personal opinion on this is too much of our characters power are coming from CP and Set bonuses....

Fungal Grotto I (a 4 player group dungeon) on normal difficulty is a good measuring stick.

If you can solo that one with confidence, none of the world bosses should give you any serious trouble.

PS: As mentioned above already, public dungeons are a lot easier than most world bosses.

The game is easy on all levels if you have the knowledge to back you up.
Granted, champion points help a lot, but they are in no way necessary to be successful.

My suggestion would be to go to alcasthq.com and lookup your respective build - stamblade.
Don't just look at what sets he is using and stop there.
    Look at the details.
Which enchants does he have on his gear and jewelry?
What mundus stone does he use?
What trait does he have on his gear?
    What food does he use?
    How are his attributes allocated?

If you notice something different from your build, ask someone: why is "my" way if building a character inferior to "his"?

These kind of questions will result in a pool of knowledge that you will need to be effective.

Don't just copy builds, try to understand why they work.

I'm 358 CP. I can solo world bosses on my DK at a "decent" pace. I love his single target dps, but holy crap I would never take him into a situation where he had to kill multiple mobs at once - so I don't do dolemns/delves/dungeons to my disappointment. I dunno if stam builds are just terrible at AOE or I am just ignorant. Anyways, I use knights errant set, and 7th legion with Selene's monster set(this does a lot of DPS for me).

I use knights errant shield and sword, so its only a 3 piece when I switch to dps. I may change this to Hulking Draugr or Hunding's Rage to try to boost my dps more. So far, I am very happy with 7th legion.

I know bow is AOE, and maybe I need to try that out... He would be my main character if he had any AOE capability. The DK style of being in your face really suits me. But its too frustrating to fight 3 mobs at once on him - let alone more!

So far, my templar gets smashed. I even tried to get him a sword and board to up his defense - which was met with worse results. I am thinking I don't have him geared correctly, so I am trying to change one of my sets. I am looking to get rattlecage for the increased defense or find a set that gives a good amount of magicka(still loooking). He currently uses 2 heavy warrior poet and jewelry and 5 light armor Julianos. It gives me incredible survivability in PUG dungeons. But, world bosses just shred me. I can't dps, because I'm just healing(my jabs are not outhealing their dps) or they stun me and *** me. I sure this is a LTP issue - I just started today to try to solo world bosses with him.

I am still new to the sorc just hitting 50 this past week. I am amazed at what he can do. I still need to work on getting him gear that would let him tank and dps. But, so far, he can kill public dungeon bosses faster than my templar or DK. But he is not geared to take on world bosses. Not even close.

Worlds bosses I'd recommend a group, although I'd never honestly solo'd a world boss. Perhaps with another or 2. Either way, whatever level is required for you to know you character I guess.

Public dungeons can be solo'd at level 3 if you're capable. I've always had crafted gears sets so I'm somewhat prepared.

Public dungeons are a faceroll at any lvl. World bosses it really depends. I can solo a lot of them on a low lvl Templar, yet there are some I struggle with on my cp690 toon. The deshaan caravan one is nails as is that boss in stonefalls that resides in that cave. There are others that put me on my ass regardless of lvl, but like i said, most are doable if you can heal fast or have good resource management.

templar is one of the most faceroll and easy to play class to solo stuff with to be honest....

Base game world bosses are one thing, with enough armour, shields and most of all healing it can be done, soloing dlc stuff like that socking great daedra in wrothgar is a whole diffrent ball game, anyone claiming to solo them needs to provide video proof or it didn’t happen

Vvardenfell was a step back in terms of world boss difficulty. I soloed 5 of them on my first attempt. Only one I gave up on was the bug in the cave. I just couldn't do enough damage while healing to negate his heal.

Stamblade dual wield was the most difficult for me to get comfortable soloing public dungeons (the mass pulls could be rough with the incoming damage - the bosses not so much), magplar and magsorc were easy though (haven't leveled much else), stamsorc I'm currently leveling is super easy (2H w/ brawler shields + surge = nothing kills me).

Original WBs are pretty straight forward if you can avoid their strong move, though some will still make quick work of you (I had been soloing every WB I crossed one afternoon until I hit some tower in Rivenspire and pulled a multiple mob WB that wrecked me).

The key to most solo stuff is to have strong damage (including AOE / dots to do damage while you roll and kite around), good shields / self-heals, the ability to avoid bad stuff (move, block, roll), and the ability to kite (tip - drop AOE, kite mobs in circle over AOE).

Stamblade was just a bit trickier than the others because I didn't have a solid self heal or super strong shields (I hadn't done any PVP for vigor and was dual wield).

Since you stated "public dungeon" in your title ...
Three of the easiest public dungeons are the ones in Glenumbra, Auridon and Grahtwood. You might want to try your character in one of those first before trying any of the others.
The Coldharbour public dungeon is one of the hardest, as far as the public dungeons go.

My NB can solo pretty much any World Boss and lot of normal 4 man dungeons.

With shields, CP and right skills, you can do pretty much anything you want
    NB enthusiastic:
    1. Woodhippie stamblade - DW hard-hitter / PvE
    2. Know-it-all elf Magblade - Healer / PvE & PvP
    3. Hate-them-all elf Magblade - Destrostaff AoE monster / PvE
    4. Cyrodiil-Refugee stamblade - Stamina Tank / PvE

    Go dominion or go home

Nightblade-Hipster. I played Nightblade before it was cool - from 1.5 onwards.

Thanks for all the answers and insight. I did have a look at the website and youtube for the above mentioned 'alcast' - and I have surmised that there is a lot to this game that I haven't grasped yet.

In truth, I think I'm trying to rush into this too fast for my own good. I'm trying to be at pique performance without realising that there is in fact a lot of things I need to learn and practice and come to grips with.

As stated before I'm only finishing up Vvardenfell - I haven't even touched a single other zone yet, or any guild questline, or the main questline. There is a huge amount of game left and thus a lot of time to get better. I can see how I've improved already and I just need patience. I'm going to enjoy playing through the zones, whilst picking up on new techniques to improve my character and style.

Wrothgar Wb can be soloed and wont required video. The one which is difficult to solo is morrowind ones, but still doable.

Level doesn't matter...what DOES matter is that you are using gear that isn't outdated. You stated you were level 49...level to 50 and buy/grind/craft a new set of gear for lvl50. At that point, practice the mechanics of whatever boss you are trying to kill, you will find in time that with the judicious use of block, roll dodge, and other damage mitigating actions(reflecting spells, crowd control, etc) that very few will give you trouble. Eventually, once you hit CP160 and can craft end-game gear you will find that virtually none will give you issues if you play dynamically.
