Miss the Camo Hunter days... really felt like a Vampire Hunter since I made a build surrounding that skill specifically to one shot stupid Vampires because their broken OP passives.

    Miss those days real good.

Looking through old lore and whatnot there has been times where a lycan was also a vampire too. That and ghoul/vampire/werewolf all in one. There is quite a bit of lores out there

Except that gif specifically is the character Lucian from Underworld. Lucian was a lycan and the leader of the lycans. If that had been a picture of Michael Corvin from Underworld, well he indeed was half vampire, half lycan.

Im plenty happy with my Vampire @stage 3 (Stage 4 is pointless other than for the Dark Stalker Passive, which is also pointless unless yer PVP) and I am proud to display his features.

I'm talking about something far older than the underworld series if you mean the lycan/vampire hybrid. I like to research a bunch of odd lore of monsters and whatnot. Hence why I make vampire eater jokes.
Something hundreds, if not thousands of years old for lore. You would be surprised but vampire legends are far older than just "2000" years.

My original comment was that the creature in the gif was a lycan and not a vampire (as this thread was specifically about vampires). I wasn't commenting on historical lore of vampires and lycans and I don't use Underworld as my basis - again, just the specific person in the picture.

If for the elder scrolls lore, never seen any sort of story where a werewolf was a vampire as well. Either one or the other or something another.

Well, I once saw this derp in Bangkorai... back before the hybrid exploit was fixed.

What's not to understand? It's a fantasy game. Vampires can be a power fantasy. (Several distinct ones, in fact.) Same thing with Werewolves, for that matter.

Fun trivia: The setting Underworld was based off of (World of Darkness), actually included a strain of bestial vampires that slot directly into that gray area between vampires and werewolves. (Two strains and some additional bloodlines, if we get really technical, as the Tzemice and Gangrel both build off of that in distinct ways. There's also a few offshoot bloodlines from both Clans.)

Second bit of fun trivia: the phrase, "children of the night," comes from Dracula. When the titular Count uses the phrase, he's actually referring to wolves howling outside his castle, not vampires.

    Oh stop your whining.

Vampire players complain so much in this game, but they get the upper hand over werewolves 10 fold. It's repulsing to see, the devs clearly favor them over werewolves or even just being normal. That fie damage weakness is easily negated with someone who knows how to play, Vampires are a free pass to easier regain.

Oh stop your howling, go and make your own shaggy thread why dontcha!

Perhaps they could do a future DLC that centers on a conflict between Molag Bal and Hircine.
Choose a side and expand on either Vampirism or Lycanthropy.
Maybe add different types of Lycanthropes and Vampire breeds/clans.

Remember Skyrim has its own unique Vampire clan North of the Pale. Clan Volkihar

    - Redguard StamBlade dps ["bowtard" crafty girl who likes spinning with daggers too.]
    - Breton SorcMag dps [She's got an identity crisis, but I believe in her.]
    - Dunmer Templar dps/healer [she's a healer, then again she likes inferno staff too...]
    And..
    - High Elf SorcMag dps [It's quite possible his daddy was a Nord.]

What conflict between Molag Bal and Hircine? I mean, they're not best buds or anything, but they did make a vampire strain together on a whim once. It's not like Meridia and Molag Bal who hate each other.

The Vampires vs Werewolves thing is somewhat uncommon in folklore (or lit, for that matter). Underworld inherited it from the setting it was riffing. It's not a feature in TES at all.

Also worth remembering that there are distinct vampire clans all over Tamriel. In ESO Vvardenfell has two, and there's a third one starting within the next few years. Hell, High Rock has something like 13 distinct vampire clans. The only thing unusual about the Volkihar clan is that they've got some Daughters of Coldharbour. Cyrodiil is actually unusual because there's only one clan active there.

zombies or ghouls? There is a difference but what others call zombies is actually more than likely a ghoul. Just like the original resident evil... those were ghouls, not zombies.

Old world legends would paint vampires as the ones that would prey upon the weak and infirmed and children and such. Stuff like livestock that could not defend themselves as well was another.
