Winter Garland Dapple Gray Mount

Will the bells and garland be toggleable? I LOVE this white horse but not the bells and garland. I've been waiting a long time for a beautiful white horse, but the bells and garland are a deal-breaker.

Great for the 'prettier' characters..... My fat orc would probably try and eat it though.

I dunno, in my experience I've noticed that fat orcs tend to be the prettier characters

They could always bring back the original Dapple Grey Palfrey. It was one of the first crown store mounts and then for some reason it was removed and never brought back. It wasn't advertised as limited time or anything, and it only cost 900 crowns, same as the White Mane Horse that's been around forever.

I've been hoping it'd come back since shortly after it was removed. I liked both that and the White Mane Horse and I got the White Mane first thinking I could get the other one later. Then it was gone and I'd unknowingly missed my chance.

I have one, and i believe it was super rare on xbox (im pc transfer) same with chef outfit and blacksmith. I wonder if anyone got it in that recent event? Alot recieved the chef and blacksmith outfits..

Please, make the decoration hideable! I don't want to be the annoying neighbour who keeps the christmas-lights up til march .... -_-

Yes I hope it is hideable too. I've waited so long for a horse that's not a chunky carthorse. Give us different kinds of horses not just reskins of the same horse pls! But if I can't hide the garland it will look a little odd in battle or in the middle of summer.

Same here!! The only way I'd be interested in that is if I can de-Yule it after Yule is over. It's so gorgeous despite the garlandy stuff!

Hey ZOS a simple question was asked about whether the garland will be toggleable? Yet no answer. The only reason for the silence that I can figure out is that the garland will not be. Telling folks that would most likely decrease the mounts sales and we can't have that can we ZOS.

I would not expect it to be made with a toggle, that would likely require a new entry in the options menu and I doubt they would do that just for one mount. No other mount that I am aware of has the ability to toggle details on it, aside from the horse training stuff like saddle bags and armor.

They could just code the bells and garland as 'armor' so it could be toggled.

Let's not get our hopes up too soon. Or was it confirmed that it uses a different body model? Because up until now it could just be artistic freedom ...

Not trying to be negative, but we did have that in the past ... or people perceived it as such.

Any guesses on how much this will cost? Will it be 1200 like the first time the zombie horse was available for Halloween, or will it be 2500 like the second time zombie horse was available? Or "shudder" will the greed have no bounds and it cost even more?

Would be nice if they just gifted us this mount in the spirit of the holidays, Santa never left a bill in your stocking.

ZOS has remained silent on answering the question whether the garland and bells will be toggleable. That tells me they will not be. I have no use for the garland or bells except maybe having them visible during the holiday season. The rest of the year the mount would not blend in and actually look stupid. Therefore I for one will not waste my money on this type of mount.

I know from the past players have complained once a mount was purchased and some of its features could not be toggled off. Then they demanded their money back to the deaf ears of ZOS.

I would strongly suggest that those of you considering purchasing the mount wait a day after it is released to read the feedback in the forums

They just gave out a mount (if you have Morrowind) and a free pet (Brassilisk) and another free pet and mount in the Dungeon event boxes.

That's how I feel. It would be a mount that would be terribly fun for one month out of the year, where I live, and look awkward the rest of the year. Not sure I'll be buying it, although the paint job is probably wonderful. I've noticed they're doing better, more realistic painting on the horses and ponies now. (I'd love it if they re-painted the original five horses to be more realistic. ... Or even better, re-do the mesh to close the mouth and fix the back legs.)
I don't mind buying a holiday-specific hat, though, because they're cheaper than mounts.

Depending on how much it costs I'm ok with it not being toggable. Toggable would preferable, but we'll see.

It's apart of the mount. Like the Imperial War Horse for example. It's the design of it.

The horse is beautiful and I would gladly buy it, but as many others I'm not willing to mount a horse in August wearing winter decorations.
It would be great if those decorations had an hide option as for the upgrades.

Btw now the horse is up in the Store, if anyone bought it already some info would be much appreciated about this. Hope someone will post.

As expected, the garland/bells are not toggable. I can hear the bells, but they are very quiet. Perhaps it's my audio settings.

So, the main bit of holiday decoration on the horse's chest isn't toggleable. But, it does come with other upgrade based decorations that can be toggled on or off. Also, the bell jingle effect is tied to Effects volume, so depending on where you have that set you might not hear it.

That's not the greatest screenshot, but that is what the horse looks like with all upgrades visible.
