Bad FPS but no CPU limit in trials?!?

Well, maybe someone got some information about this curious thing.

First, let me explain it a bit.
In case of PVP I can confirm the directx11 API squeezes out the last bit of one of my CPU cores.
In large battles the CPU usage is like this for me:
core 0: 33%
core 1: 100%
core 2: 33%
core 3: 33%
=> Note that I am using an AMD GPU. The drivers cannot split the draw calls from core 1 to another core.
If you use a NVIDIA card it can differ from my usage. An example would be:
core 0: 33%
core 1: 100%
core 2: 66%
core 3: 33%
(You will get more FPS in this case).

In Belkarth (Carglorn) my CPU usage is (capped FPS no bottleneck):
core 0: 33%
core 1: 33%
core 2: 33%
core 3: 33%

In trials my CPU usage is:
core 0: 10%
core 1: 33%
core 2: 33%
core 3: 33%
(reloadui does not help a bit)

Well and here we are.
Where is the bottleneck in Trials?

Do one trail with one group = fine FPS, not 100 but not so low that I notice a difference in play.

Do exact same trial with different group members = FPS dropping to 0 but only on bosses.

Hardware is irrelevant in this game past a certain point.

Restarting the game in Trials helps sometimes. Right before the door or on the boss itself, but if it's a score run, 2nd option becomes a problem and you can only hope for a 1st one.

This game has terrible performance. It's worse than a early access kickstarter.

In HoF at the endboss finishing phase I drop to 12 fps thats crazy and for anything else I stuck at 40fps without a fight...
Thats less than the MoL endboss fight nearly a year ago with about 44 fps (same hardware).

I am looking forward to good old fashioned 2fps next year

Yeah it sucks. My PC can easily play all modern games in ultra settings but for ESO I can have decent ping (like not more than 200) but 20 fps in trials and the game just feels like i'm playing underwater it's so sluggish.

In trials there are more particles which means more work on you GPU, also make sure from the Nvidia settings to disable shader cache

i think the bottle neck is actually in GPU's there are certain aspects that get choked. Turning AA off is huge reducing particles and dumbing down graphic features even on high end cards reduces the stutter and lag. it seems its with cards having to process multiple effects and animations from other Player characters and unique boss animations and effects. i think its their engine , it was never a great one in the first place for MMO's. the started development with Hero and then scratch built mid development. its why so many glaring combat bugs were prevalent like Animation canceling that they gave up on fixing and now call it a feature.

The simplest solution to this problem is to press ESC

    Endboss fight => 30fps => ESC => 195fps (my cap)
Just like eso is trolling you...

Poor optimisation hits us all equally. The irony is that the way eso is designed, you won't even get better performance by going down in texture quality and such. The best you can do is disable effects and shadows honestly, and even then it still runs like garbage..
