Seriously ZOS... why did group finder have to be part of it. Any DPS worth his salt knows Dungeon finder will never put him in a game, or take over an hour to do so because everybody and their dog plays DPS. It's been a longstanding issue and now you somehow thought up this brilliant event which is only good for Healers and Tanks...
Why couldn't it just be dungeons in general... why did it have to be group finder?

Elusiin✭✭✭✭✭Be patient. It'll happen. Or queue with guild friends. If you don't have a guild, ask in zone chat. It's really easy to get a full party and to skip the whole dps wait altogether.3 -

My trade and PVE guilds are constantly spamming for groups so I haven't been struggling to get the event boxes on each of my characters.

I generally get pretty quick queues as a dps myself, but a friend of mine will be in chat with me on PSN, also queued, and it never pulls him in. I can usually finish one and queue again before his goes in once. It's rather odd.1 -

✭I was surprised by how fast getting into a group was. Usually takes 10-20 minutes (possibly longer), but for the duration of the event, I have yet to be in the queue for longer than a few minutes. And if someone “declines,” they don’t lie and say I’m put at the front of the queue when I’m really not. It’s been a pleasant experience, at least in that regard. Still haven’t gotten that Dark Shaman costume, though...0 -

Usually, I'll slot a heal skill or a taunt and just double queue, and run as hybrid (But really still mainly DPS)

Icy_Waffles✭✭✭✭✭On some of my mag dps i threw resto and skills on backbar, and inner fire on some stam toons. Good enough for tank/heals for random normal dungeons and allows me to put in some extra damage bc a lot of the dps running sucks. Havent had an issue at all.2 -

You know why there is no tanks? Because most of DPS are triggerhappy fools that rush everywhere and don't wait for tanks to take control of the battlefield first. I'm a tank and my wife is a healer and when we play with friends we do great and stick to our roles. Tank goes in first, gets quick control of the battlefield dps follows and kill everything with minimal risk because tank and healer got it under control. When we go with random dps, we feel like dogs following the trigger-happy dps that turn the dungeon into a massive chaos and eventually lead to a wipe. Asking in chat to let the tank go in first doesn't help at all. Zero communication. I dare you to make a tank and try to enjoy group play with randoms. Who would want to be a tank or a healer if no one respects your job and doesn't cooperate? My only char is a pure tank and my wife's a pure healer and we're done with matchmaking. We're always willing to help people who actually try to cooperate and let us do our job though.

as a dps 1. had no issues with q's and 2. you are correct
as dps, i make sure i am never the first to attack. but then iv played other mmos with groups of friends where we had roles and we did pretty well with it. im used to it. iv done dps and heals before eso.1 -

If you don't want bad experiences then don't pug. If you don't want to play with players who don't do their role properly then don't pug.

I use it mainly to just easy mob farm as on NA I am sub 500cp and with my sets I can easy farm IC and cap flags in IC etc. So xp, ap, telvar easy! I call her my skateblade at the moment. Lol dps’d On my bank alt (literally dw stam dk nord with lightning staff on back bar) and did 40% of group dps on combat meter so xD (Let’s don’t tell him I also queued as tank!)

No one? We've known about it ever since ZOS announced the Sweepstakes about a month ago. Sure the detailed post went up right before the event, but the information that this was happening has been out there. I turned most of my characters its tanks or healers for it about a week ago.3 -

Wait wait wait, no. it's the other way around. The dungeon finder actually wants you to select a role. If you don't want the trinity, then go do pre-mades and keep your fake roles out of PUGs.2 -

join up with 3- put any role to make DF happy- provided theyre decent enough- and just run thru it, disband - relog- and regroup and repeat. with 3 fellow guild mates or zone players- u can slam thru it with 10 toons in like an hour and a half- two hours.0
