Mostly I think the event brought out some people who might never normally run in dungeons or even in groups. There are lot of solo players out there for whom delves are the closest they get to dungeons.

A few highlights for me were :
    • Half way through dungeon, this person decided to allocate all their CP points .. 5 mins later, still waiting
    • Cp200+ turning up as DPS with 9k health and no food or any idea about needing it
    • l88t dude runs into dungeon immediately on porting, and carrys on running until first boss wiping everyone else
    • light bow spammers ...
    • 3 people leaving on first boss of Spindle 1 as it was "too hard" .. was on my healer and can solo it
    • My healer doing 75% of the damage even with cp160+ sorcs in the group

Not just from this event but here are a few highlights...

200+ cp group where I as an undergeared ~200 cp healer was pulling 70% group's dps - which was about 10k. Which, yup you got it right, means everyone else together was pulling about 3k.

12k health healer who kept dying on last boss of Arx, getting one shot repeatedly, so I offered her food. She said "ty I have some in my bag" and proceeded to get one shot again due to not using a food. She had 660 cp(or more, it was the cap at the time). I gave up and slotted Twilight to heal instead, then we finally made it. I'm still not sure what that was about.

One of my favourites...a DK tank in vet ROM, something about 200-300 cp, in his defence he didn't actually do TOO bad, but he kept dying to Chudan's spit. I kept advising him to use wings but he kept ignoed it up til last boss where we gloriously wiped because he died to Chudan's shade's spit and she went ham on us. That's when he said "what wings im no warden". We had to stop for a minute because we were laughing/facepalming too hard to continue XD In his defence he did slot wings(aka Reflective scales) once we explained what it was(turns out he had no idea because he'd never even put a skillpoint into it before) and we made it eventually.

A cp 88 on vet WGT last boss who was obviously new and inexperienced and we were fine with that - except he kept activating HM while it was obvious we were unable to do it. He'd click the scroll then proceed to instadie in the very first lightning wall. If you ressed him he'd die in the very next one, no exceptions. After asking him to stop for about 5 times(he'd go after the book first thing after he ressed, without saying a word), we gave up and kicked him. Got a proper dps and actually made the HM :)

A cp ~200(I think) in Wayrest who managed to die to a lonely skeever as everyone else was fighting a boss literally 30 m away. If they were closer I'd taunt the damn rat off them and the healer'd probably heal them, but they simply ran away from us with that skeever and heroically died in the corner.

A cp ~600 templar tank with 55k heath who managed to nearly die on every trash pack. Despite their high health they never used Blazing or Bone shield for some reason. One instance was particularily funny - they pulled a daedroth before others got there, nearly died, panicked, ran back and pulled ANOTHER daedroth that we'd skipped...then proceeded to die to 2 daedroth within seconds. The best part? after they died, one of the ~16k health dps got agro and easily stayed alive while we quickly killed the daedroth. On Kena we pretty much let the tank stay dead and just burnt the boss. We did make it but it was a hell of a carry. Tank wouldn't listen to anything too because "he'd done vet wgt before".

A 14k health dps in vet CoA 2 who claimed he had enough health because "health is not essential for a dps", then proceeded to get 1 shot every 5 seconds of the Ash Titan fight.

    ...I think I'll stop there :p

Had a mare of a run today in ICP, one DPS had 30k hp, the other 22k. Neither of them understood that standing in the water during the flesh Sculptor fight dealt damage to them.

Thankfully I was a fake healer, and was able to DPS through the dungeon regardless. And with Twilight I was even able to keep the monkeys alive for the whole thing.

Ran into an level 44 tank with no shield, not so unusual but he had empty off hand.
Back then I did not know that this did not let you use any weapon skills.
I did not notice first, but noticed after we wiped

I just wonder how you could level to 44 and not noticing you can not use weapon skills or do LA or HA?
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    1. DPS using frost staff and keep doing the heavy attack taunt, even after the tank told him not to do it.
    2. People with high CP 300-600+ but theyre only doing under 10k dps in VET dungeon.
    3. people under CP 160 queuing VET dungeon thinking that they can do it perfectly fine.
    4. Low DPS who thinks that it's okay NOT doing mechanics in DLC dungeon normal mode. Example : WGT blue flame brazier boss, Cradle of shadows light brazier boss / interupt, etc.
    5. Tank who use Sword and Shield but doesnt have taunt skill slotted.
    6. Tank who just wants to tank 1 mob, leaving the rest for the dps and healer to tank.
    7. Templar healer who spamed Breath of Life over and over again for no reason in VET dungeon til running out of magicka.
    8. a DPS who only use necrotic orb to dps, his rotation was spamming like 6-8 necrotic orbs til he ran out of magicka, and then filled his magicka to full with heavy attack, rinse and repeat. (this was in vet dungeon)

sometimes idk if those people were trolling or they're really dont know what they're doing. The skill gap in this game is like heaven and hell, you can have MAX CP but still dont know what are you doing. Maybe they're the one who farmed dolmen in Al'Akir from lv 1 to CP 690.

there are way too many bad pug stories for me to name, and I blatantly refuse to pug alone in dungeon queue cause how bad some people can be.

The worst are definitely bad dps whether it be from light or heavy attack spammers, pvp players who only spam snipe or something along those lines. Another bad case is when there are horrible players but the vote kick fails, then you know you have to leave and let them suffer.
Another was a fake tank mag sorc who literally couldn't keep himself alive on Vet Elden 1 and blamed the healer for not healing and dps for being bad. This guy was generally known to be pretty trash in the raid community and blames others for how bad he is at the game. It's funny, the people who talk the most trash and stubborn are the worst players in the game.

Time is the most valuable resource and if people are slowing me down on vet dungeons, that is a problem. Spending more than 20min in a non dlc vet dungeon is a waste of time. If you can't do good dps, heal, or tank sufficiently, don't queue for vets

If you are on EU-PC I may suspect who you're talking about :)

On the other hand Magicka Sorcerer can make a hell of a tank. I tanked vRoM and vCoS HM with mine and it worked well.

The ones I struggle with are people still frost heavy attacking.
I'm a tank main, I had to deal with this for a solid 3 months after the changes, people kept forgetting. But it still happens on a regular basis, I even had a 330cp guy doing it the entire dungeon even after I called him out, messaged him while I watched him run around the entire room confused.
I could forgive it when it first got changed, or if it was an accident and it happens once or twice, but its getting old now.

Sound like 3 decent players and 1 under skilled player to me. What idiot got carried and still complain?

    Sounds like three jerks.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

I hate is low dps in vet dungeons, I don't mind if you suck in normal, thats where we practice and learn, right on, practice all day, I don't mind it, that's how you learn.
But if both of my dps can't kill bloodspawn before he caves us in, something is wrong here.
Or when I have 10 deadroths on Banished cells 2 which is CC central. I feel bad calling people out saying "guys, we can't do it with the amount of dps we're doing".
It's just a little frustrating when you're doing your job perfectly, even optimizing your group. But even if I do everything I can, it's still not enough, for some dungeons that is.

I actually stopped explaining mechanics before the fight unless someone asks. Too much work for too little gain. The only one I'll warn people about is Cirenas the Shepherd on Fungal Grotto II but only because I don't want to spend forever and a day breaking through her resistances after the DPS kill her spiders. On my healer, I'll ask them to stay close to me on the Engine Guardian's poison phase, but that's it.

Everything else, I find that people are much more respectful about hearing the mechanics after we've/they've died to them. I'll say something if I notice someone struggling with a mechanic, but for the most part, I just carry on tanking until there is a problem.

Yep I'm the same - I'm just like stay near me and don't run off (dc2) and you'll be fine....the only other mechanic that's become a necessity is when tank and healer should swap pinion because dps is too low, and stand still with her except blue phase then move along the perimeter of the room, if dps is low.

This is because of everyone being told to just burn her when many just cannot.

People who only use autoattacks. Especially if its ice staff heavies. Its really hard to dps the boss when he chases a guy with an ice staff all over the place (sometimes they even reset the bosses lol).
And yeah, I really hate when someone gets aggro and starts running away. Fake tanks are very common in normal dungeons are this is very irritating. Of course, these dungeons are easy enough without a real tank or a healer but why run around like a chicken?

People who only use autoattacks. Especially if its ice staff heavies. Its really hard to dps the boss when he chases a guy with an ice staff all over the place (sometimes they even reset the bosses lol).
And yeah, I really hate when someone gets aggro and starts running away. Fake tanks are very common in normal dungeons are this is very irritating. Of course, these dungeons are easy enough without a real tank or a healer but why run around like a chicken?

The worst for me was the time I had a fake tank who wasn't holding aggro turn around and scold the DPS who did get the boss' aggro for running around like a headless chicken. I mean, my healer could have easily kept both of them healed through it, but seriously?! Don't cause the problem by being a fake tank and then yell at the other guy for not holding the boss still.

High-CP people who either insist on kicking lower levels or who do not know their role whatsoever, even when I tell them to please taunt the boss/do some healing. I've met more lower level people who have a general idea on what to do.

Why would you not kick low lvl underskilled players?

My fav was the bow DPS who turned away from the first dungeon boss to direct his attacks at me.

I really don’t think he understood I was healing the rest of the group, not attacking them.

Just when I thought I had seen / heard it all, comes this little but horrifying gem.....

    Lol

Because they think "oh they're low level, that must mean they're a new player, they don't know what they're doing amd they suck, I'm not going to carry him." It's because they're impatient and pre judge.
I could even have max cp, but because they see I'm on a low level character, I get kicked thinking I suck at the game and I'm new,

The tank that typed "2h sourcer" [SIC] and left vWGT at the start. My 2h stam sorc might still be under construction, but with a master's greatsword the dps isn't bad, already pugged vBF with it.

Then got a HM speedrun with another tank.
