I main a stamblade, I have shuffle on my back bar pretty much always but I don't duel.

If I were to accept a duel and use an ability I always use I'm suddenly some sort of scrub?

i have activated auto decline duel for i think that most stupid thing eso done to game, many people do duel around wayshine and make slow loading and eso should make it not possible do duel around wayshine and inside buildings like in banks,

You play your build and he plays his, if your build just happens to counter his then its bad luck for him.

Btw: theres a cool function to automaticly decline duelrequests, its awesome.
Other option is to not accept and w8 till the request runns out, then he waisted 1min of his time, while you did your own thing

Every MMO I've played is like this it seems lol heck in WoW I've been to Goldshire and someone kept challenging me to duel and I wouldn't. Was it because I was a coward like he said, or was it because I was level 5 and he was level 110 in PVP gear?

Toddler wouldn't quit though and started to throw insults and threat me to be kicked because of that, I was pretty chill that night so I told him that I've spent a decade in gamming to know that nothing he was telling me or [snip] about was new and he should just focus in the game, at this point even our tank told him to kick him instead cause he was tired of his whining.

At this point the toddler went to whisper me and throw me this: I've been playing MMO's for 11 years so I know better then you, I easily dismised that by saying I was glad to know he have this much expirience with gamming but none in social skills.

He finished with this gem: Oh and one more thing....GET A LIFE ! and raged quit the dungeon.

Whoever that guy was, he made my day, never laughed so much.

I don't think so. This is an ability we stam classes simply need to survive. Our builds are based on mobility and without shuffle we will get rooted and die quickly.

I have mixed views about using cloak in duels though. When I duel on my stamblade I only hit cloak to get a quick rally burst heal. There's too many annoying nightblade who stay stealth the whole duel, and it's just annoying.

I don't duel any stamblades. Not everyone that rolls one is an immature gobshite, but all immature gobshites usually play one. Every single piece of abuse I've received in-game has been from a SB since duelling was introduced.

I'm trash because I use jabs
I'm trash because I use BoL
I'm trash because I chug potions that counter their fear skill
I'm trash because I use a mage skill that counters their invisibility
I'm trash because I wear light armour
I'm trash because I wear heavy armour and so on and on

Basically they can use any skill they want to and you've to hinder yourself using light attacks and light attacks only. They're not worth the hassle.

@Izaki Dueling has gotten real bad on console. And I do mean real bad. Haha. When I was on xbox EU - duels were quite respectable, only comments after you upload a video of you winning - this is where the bashing begins.

Now I play only on PC EU and I have never declined a duel (only if someone is waiting for me, obviously) I don’t care if I am on my PvE or PvP build, I don’t care if someone is using poisons, shuffle, 25 pets and/or is mine camping, troll king, cloak or whatever setup.

If you are allowed to run this build in Cyro - I am happy to duel you. I actually respect people that duel in their Cyro open world builds (as I don’t see a point to duel in anything else).

I never complain, never care about rage whispers, never care about anything. Duel is a duel, everything allowed from my point of view.

P.S. I don’t use harness, poisons, mines and duel in my Cyro open world build. (Sometimes I duel on my magDK vMA build, but that is for lols)


@ArchMikem there are little kids in every game and in ESO it is quite difficult to undestand what skill level one has...
Alliance Rank is just an indicator of how much time you spent in PvP and doesn’t mean how good you are (though, this is probably best indicator of someone actually being decent)
Veteran trials titles - can be bought, carried and is still a PvE achievement.
Flawless Conqueror title - is just an indicator that this person knows vMA mechanics and has _somekind_ of understanding of their class, though, I have flawless on my magplar, but I have no idea how to play him in PvP...
CP level - we have already established that CP amount has nothing to do with ones skill level. Forums are full of posts of 700+ CP players just light attacking in dungeons...

I don't duel, I don't PvP (well, only when I really need a new dps toon to have Vigor.) I'm in PvE land all the time. Dueling is not PvE. I may be waiting there at a dolmen or world boss pit, and when somebody pings me for duel. I don't respond. It just declines itself moments later (or I will have the automatic decline option on.) If that same toon pings me again, I'll throw up the "Move away from me" emote text. Ha ha. Majority of the time, nothing happens; nobody says anything. I've never been called trash. Even, if someone says such, I don't give a *beep*. I may tell him or her to go to Cyrodiil if you want to fight another toon/player. I'm not really for having the dueling in PvE land. I think it should be part of PvP in Cyrodiil, where those who wish to duel another player/toon can still do so, even though, it would be another within their own alliance. Just the same, it's another toon/player for dueling. It's not a place for PvE land. Hey, it's just my two cents..

Two players fight, one loses and dies..the winner resurrects him... both players "clap" as to congratulate each other..and they leave..end of story..

I like that..it's both a polite and honourable behaviour.

It's not really blahtherapy, I never asked why you did that, I'm just stating what happened. I just wanted to make clear that even tho you subtly try to imply that you that the insult didn't hit you at all, your text and everything that revolved around it (all the ritual of entering here, writing, rewriting, reading before posting etc) implies the complete opposite.

Of course one may question, as you suggested, why would I do that? Why would I stop what I'm doing just to state this obvious thing about your text? I need to apply a little bit of self-criticism here, which is actually a good thing to do sometimes. Maybe I want to look smartass and cunning to farm for upvotes (some agrees and awesomes maybe)? Which clearly imply that I maybe have some degree of a need for acceptance. I love salt as Tank in dungeons lol.
I once simply quit because some DPS l33t player was thrashing the other dps and being an a$$. (i mean vet darkshade really doesnt need crazy dpses....) I asked him why he did that, eventually told him he was a prick and to find himself another tank. Its not like I have any trouble finding another group through queuing :P

Tanks have all the power in dungeons. Unlike trials & PvP
