Hardest class to level

Hi, i want to hear what you think is the hardest class to level, and what you think is the easiest class to level. I have all classes now and think warden and templar is the easiest to level, they have good self healing. My nightblade has been a nightmare to level, no good self heals and hard to sustain before end game when you get good gears, but maybe its just my playstyle that makes it hard. My DK was fun to level, really tanky and nice resourse regaining skills. Sorc have pets to help out when you solo so that makes it easier to level.

Depends on how you level. If you do it by a combination of doing everything in a zone + dungeons, they're all pretty easy.

If you do it by grinding packs of mobs then the ones with the best AOE + mitigation/self heals will be the easiest.

I find magicka Templar, Sorcerer an Warden to be equally easy, the stamina version of those 3 would be next and magicka DK and NB are not far behind. Some come into their own sooner than others but all of those can handle pretty well anything.

Once upon a time I use to gauge their effectiveness by ease of soloing dolmens and public dungeons but it's hard to find any of those that don't already have a crowd these days.

Stamina NB probably are the least easy because they lack class based AOE and self heals that are as good as the others but I wouldn't say they're hard to level either. AOE from both the bow and DW makes them effective and you can get enough self heals from Killer's blade, DW ST healing morphs, etc., to get by.

You can make it hard on yourself by loading up on ST abilities but that's true for all classes. ESO is just plain easier with AOE builds because the difficulty is ramped up by the size of the packs much more often than it is by a single tough boss.

You can get a decent enough self healing with a stamina build when dualwielding and using blood craze/bloodthirst.

Stam toons hard to lvl? Then you do something wrong. Brawler + reverse slice and you can grind better than any magicka toon. Add arrow barrage on back bar and there you go, complete list of needed skills to do any solo pve content.

Quick explanation - brawler - gives you shield based on enemy it hits + low direct and moderate dot damage to all of them - so you can have shields like sorc but cheaper and dealing damage.
Reverse slice - deals aoe damage and has +300% bonus damage based on enemy missing health meaning if you finish of enemy with this skill, rest of them takes huge damage execute arround your initial target setting them in execute range, so basicaly it needs to be used 2-3 times to kill all of your enemies.

I have lvled up all of my stam toons with this skills, never had any problems. Add to this some bow and class aoes and you will see how "hard" to play are stamina toons...

Stamblade is a pain to level, given its lack of heals.

My honest advice would be, level as a magicka build using Path and Funnel Health/Sap Essence, while running medium julianos/seducers, along with whatever weapons/skills you want to use, and then respec when you hit 50

Those two skills will give you all the AOE and healing you need to breeze through the game, and overland content is easy enough that doesn't really matter what armour weight you are using.

Covers up the issues pretty well.

Mag DK would be a close second, given how inane it feels to try and stack dots on everything, but it's still more pleasant than stamblade.

I found my DK Tank a burning PITA to level. I would think that any tank would be tough to level since it takes so much time to kill anything.

I ended up leveling him up exclusively by doing random normal dungeons daily.

That's what I do, but still NB is the toughest for me.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

But hey, you can and you should use different skills/setups while leveling. You can easily reset the skills and attribute points when u hit the cap. For sure you need to level the main skills while leveling up your character but it doesnt hurt to have few skills there which you might not use at the end game.

I dont find any character hard to level. For sure stamina characters are yelling for vigor but for example warden has some good skills u can use while getting vigor/leveling up.

Stamsorc can also be annoying to level, you need to equip class-skills you won't use, just to level up the skilltrees and get access to ones that are actually useful.

Yeah, stamina nightblades pretty much need Vigor and Caltrops from the Alliance War skill lines before they're good to play ... but then they become awesome.

I know, right? It's so annoying. You need to do a skill reset after a while just to get your skill points back for all the skills you won't ever use again. It's worth it, though. Stamsorcs are super fun.

While they're not maxed, my easiest (and most enjoyable) characters thus far in terms of leveling through solo open world content including cooperative play for dolmens, world bosses and delves, but with no grouping in dungeons or PvP are my level 44 DW stamina nightblade/assassin and my level 50/175cps 1H sword and shield magicka templar/paladin. My level 41 bow (and very occasional DW) stamina nightblade/archer is close behind them.

Definitely stamblade. I had no help from the rnd bonus since it was the first char I got to 50, so it was pure questing and the occasional public dungeons that got me there. Biggest problem was sustainability, I'd even get called out by my friend who was running his sorcerer to 50 as well, makin fun of how squishy I was.

a stamblade is not hard to lvl, you must just start early enough with the bow and take steeltornado in and you will do fine.

hardest thing to lvl is a tank or ahealer if you take to early just skills for these jobs. Better lvl any char first to top, with pure dmg and then lvl the specs you need for the way you want to play it, and you will be fine.

I agree that it's easiest to level up new alts as magicka, considering you get self-heals, shield and free AOE (lightning staff heavy attack) very early on. As soon as applicable, you can respec to stamina.

Hint, you can level weapon skill lines without actually having that weapon equipped. Just slot one or two skills from that weapon.

I found I had no issues levelling my DW stamblade or (at the time of levelling) my 2H stamden. Stam chars aren't hard to level, maybe it (like mag) doesn't suite everyones play style and I much prefer stam over mag so it works well for me. I have a magplar and mag-dk and no issues there either.

It's all playstyle and how you adapt to your characters specific abilities. Just don't expect to do damage if you spec as tank or heals while levelling doing quests solo. If you grind and/or dungeon runs always with a group then those roles work well with little to no queue times.

Yep, My DK tank is currently level 40 and a PITA to level. Takes almost a minute just to kill ONE mob.

Easiest character to level was my Mag Templar. He was the first character I completed the main quest line on.
Not sure why everyone is saying Stamblades are hard to level. That's my second character I beat Molag Bal on. Bow/DW is the way to go. I basically AoE stuff down before they can kill me. For the tougher bosses, I just softened them up from range with snipe. You can easily get a boss down to below half health before he even gets to you...then start killer blade spam for the execute damage.

When thieves guild and Dark Brotherhood DLC's came out, the Bahrah's Curse set drastically improved survivability.
