New Ideas for Skillines

I have always wanted the game to be more immersive. I can recall in past ES games the fact that you could worship any deity to get some kind of bonus. The princes gave you artifacts and the shrines gave you temporary buffs. But what if you could worship a deadric prince, an aedra, or some other deity and get a new skill line associated with it. A new skill lines that would give you thematic (and lore-friendly) spells and abilities and passives to that particular deity you chose to worship. The skill line would advance as you move further into the ranks of the orders that worship such deity-not to mention possible motifs for daily quests that could be apart of any temple/shrine/cathedral/undercroft/etc. I think That ZOS has a unique opportunity to capitalize on spell diversity and emersion with the lore behind this game--and to help open up some more character customizations!

Such existing skill lines are the Werewolf (Hircine) and the Vampire (Lamie Bal), could be explored more in-depth through such a system.

Let me know what you guys think.

I always wanted to worship Mephala...or Sithis directly...or Nocturnal... ur idea is nice but if this gona happen is probably be a new dlc/chapter which im totally ok with but it will be pretty much RP and meaningless stuff since if its gona give combat bonuses and such then it has to be added to the base game...aka for free and lets face it...ZoS wants our money...it is a company after all..

I see what your saying, but I don't think ZOS would put such a QOL improvement behind a paywall. Besides they are becoming more generous with free "stuff" and all.

    So, in Skyrim.

To be fair, yeah, it'd be kinda cool to see in ESO.

Fun trivia. The Daedric (and a few Aedric) artifacts actually exist in game. No, I'm not just talking about as quest items that get bounced around. I mean, there are actual weapons for things like Auriel's Bow and Volendrung.

If you're wondering why you can't find them, that would be because they're unobtainable. Back during beta, a few of these were offered up as quest rewards. So you could obtain these powerful artifacts.

Although I don't have hard info on why they were cut, I suspect they were just a neat little bonus for Beta players to look at and remember fondly.

No examples exist on live, so far as I know.

It would be a neat mechanic in a single player game. In a multiplayer one, where balance is a serious consideration... not so much.

Honestly, with those two, we'd probably be better off with simply expanding them with more abilities to pick from.

It's a cool roleplaying idea. I mean that. But, I'm not sold on the idea overall.

There were two threads on this general idea in 2014. Won't pull them, but the idea never the slightest reaction from ZOS.
