How will the lore explain the complete devastation of Wrothgar?

"Papa, tell me the story of the Devastation of Wrothgar again?"

"Oh, child, you've heard it dozens of times. Wrothgar was once a vibrant land, teeming with all manner of flora and fauna. A land where the carpenter, tailor, or blacksmith could find abundant resources. But then, through a great dragon break, people by the thousands swarmed across the land, leaving nothing but complete destruction in their wake. There were people as far as the eye could see, scrambling to get their hands or claws on anything of value they could find. They uprooted trees, destroyed acres and acres of grasslands, smashed boulders, leveled mountains, slaughtered animals, and sucked the very soul out of the ground in a desperate race for any usable resource. And still the people kept coming. Until, one day, the resources vanished and the people left as though nothing had happened."

Could you source this for me? Was it from Skyrim? Or is it from ESO?

It's both funny and sad because this happens in real life, too

The Bretons decided that Orcs were subhuman garbage after all and deccided to wipe them out and take back the areas resources for themselves.

That reads much like the story of the passenger pigeon. In 1850s, there were billions. In 1914, the last one died in captivity. Why? Because they were sold for three cents a piece.
