Templars...what happen?

I just came back... and just tried to play my Templar in PVP. I noticed a few things:

• Build Diversity is low
• They Nerfed at least every good thing
• BSpear useless? / BShield useless? / Toppling slow

I remember you use to be able to do whatever you want and still be somewhat viable. Now you need to run this one build, this one way to live. Or else you'll die. Unless you're group. This is purely solo based in PVP.

I wouldn't be complaining if I could swap over to my other toons, but mounts just take so much time... and its hard to get around Cyrodiil..
My main has a nice one, but its Templar and I just can't even stand it now lol

What are you talking about? Not being rude but.... people in PVP still complain about unkillable templars

Templars are still plenty strong in PVP, even with the cleanse nerfs, their ability to heal and purge is hugely powerful.

Biggest nerf they had was changing the way %amps work, that gutted a lot of Templars damage.

Unkillable is the only build you can do.

Heavy armor vampire spamming BOL running around a rock.

Magicka build diversity is limited now though, cool they're viable, but not unique in builds, other classes have so many other builds while Templars have maybe 1 or 2.

They got ZoS'd. They nerfed the best group skill in the game <Repentance>, It only gives the casting templar the stam now because ZoS'd thpught that was a good idea...

Besides the Repentance nerf and the sustain nerf (which affected everyone), Templars are stil a threat and hated in Cyrodiil.

Did they ever fix the bug with Templars excute scaling or is that still a thing? Seems like there are a lot of templar damage bugs lately I’ve lost track.

From what I understand, it's WAI now.

If that's the case, I prefer the "broken" version

I have about 8 different set ups i run on my templar successfully that are quite different. By far the most diverse class in gear and skill load outs.

2. Yes. Except Purifying Light and (sort of) Unstable Core; though those weren't good before.
3. Yes / Yes / Yes. And add Jesus Beam. Seriously, it's terrible now

Of course since every other class has also been gutted by ZoS, you're still competitive relatively speaking. Except when you run into a stamina warden who knows what they are doing.

If you want to kill things, best bet is to work with Purifying Light. Between Sunfire, Valkyn Skoria, Meteor / Dawnbreaker, and Unstable Core, if you can get stuff to hit simultaneously, you can kill most things that aren't stam wardens, triple shield stacked sorcerers, and block tanks. It's hard to do Vs. experienced players though.

Not sure what patch you are playing but Templars aren't having any problem in mine lol
