DLC's are killing this game

Its all good and well zennimax put out new content to keep players coming back for more but WHEN are you going to address the LAG issue,

It has become so bad that i cannot even pve anymore,
lag used to be around 200 now it sits at 500 constantly and it is not my isp as i have upgraded to an even better isp.

FIX THE LAG PLS........

    I have almost no lag at all. Ping is usually 80 to 100, but I'm a few hundred miles from the server over a decent route to the server.

    If you have a ping of 200 to 500 it's your distance from the server and the route it takes for you to communicate with the server. ZOS can do nothing about that.

    Its not the server either. It could be a problem along the route to the server. Ping will go up if there are more hops along the route.

    Yeah, I'm not saying it is the server. But the game was running good and now some of us are having problems and it would be nice to have an explanation. About what the op said about DLC, yeah I don't see the connection either.

    Where in the game are people on PC EU getting lag, and where in the real world are they playing from? Is the internet connection wired or wireless? What addons are installed including specifically map and trading related ones?

    I don't think the OP understands they have seperate teams for both objectives.

    Without a discussion about:

    What country is the OP located?
    Which server is the OP connecting to?
    What is the ping to other sites in the same country as the ESO server the OP is connected to?
    What type of ISP (e.g. Cable, Fiber, DSL, Dial-up)?
    WiFi or wired connection to router?
    Etc...

    There really isn't much to say. Anecdotally, my ping is around 100 for PC-NA most of the time. Sometimes it spikes, but most of the time it is fine, so I don't think what the OP is experiencing is systemic.

    Majority of the lag is on your side.

    I have 0 lag, ping is usually around 80 to 90. So many things could cuase your issue and nearly all of them have nothing to do with dlcs or the server. Did your isp provider make any changes? Perhaps you now have added hops between you and the server? Maybe some nodes are having issues and net traffic for you is being concentrated into fewer ones? Hell this is just beginning to scratch some issues.
    Have you tried any tools like pingzapper? They sometimes can reduce hops or even reroute your traffic to a more efficient path improving latency.

    There is nothing wrong with my ping,
    It is only in this game that I experience issues and even when the latency ingame is fine there is still laggyness in skills,

    I play on xbox NA server from Australia and I don't get that sort of lag!!

    I suspect the connection is that the OP is one of those people who thinks 'developers' are one homogeneous group and if they weren't making DLCs then all the artists, modelers, animators, script writers, voice actors etc. who work on them would be able to work on fixing bugs and improving the latency instead.

    Of course that's not the case. An artist who happens to work for a video game company wouldn't know any more about how to improve server stability than an artist who draws Disney cartoons or paints water colours of their home town. They might know some of the terminology from overhearing other people at work talk about it, but they wouldn't actually know what to do.

    Again, QA and bugs are handled by a different department. There is no corrolation.

    Last night I launched my client, waited for the usual endless loading screen to end, tried to log in and, surprise surprise, I couldn't even get to my character selection screen!

    ZOS PLS FIX, FFS!!1!

    It's not like it makes any difference, but I guess I should mention that my router was off.

    North England, ping around 70-80 for me. Sometimes there's an odd lagspike, but it never lasts more than 5 minutes and it doesn't happen more than a couple times a day. Did you try to ping their server and see what kind of route it takes?

    Zos can't fix that. I live in leeds and never have lag problems. So it's probably your end.

    They put out more content cause thats what we pay eso+ for.

    Find a better internet provider.

    I’ve haven’t had lag issues in this game since Orsinium.
    Desperate for Roleplaying servers to bring open world non-organised RP to Elder Scrolls Online. Please ZOS.

    I don´t agree on your statement about the dlc´s
    fix the lag, will be solved auto in a few years when there is no longer electricity to play ;)
