best experience I've ever had

So this is just a story about a fun Sunday night with a PuG led by a generous high level player consisting of a bunch of low level newbies who took on the world.

I ran into another player in Vivec, we grouped up after a duel (I lost). We proceeded out to kill things and ran into a party of two Aussies. We convinced them to join us and off we went, joking and having a good time. Somehow we wandered into Nilthog and thankfully were assisted by a high level player who in our lack of experienced, seemed like a god. Well he went from being a god to "daddy" as we merrily followed our group leader from boss to boss. We died a lot, fought hard, laughed harder and went through every form of comedy we could think of with the concept of "daddy". This guy, who turned out to actually have a mic, had the voice for smooth jazz. Easily the coolest guy on the planet; he put up with multiple boss resets as we didn't understand the mechanics yet. I realize I cannot convey the great time and humor we all had but after it was over, I realized I just had the best time I've had on a console since high school when we would all gather at a house of a friend, xbox's linked by miles of cables, TV's in every room, empty pizza boxes and soda cans stacked as we tubed and sniped each other in blood gulch and then coagulation.

I am sure there are some a**hole players on here but I have to say despite some random people making incredibly annoying noises on area voice, this is one of the best communities. I'm new but I haven't met one genuine pain yet, well, except that one level 49 guy who interrupted me at a treasure box while I was trying to unlock it but to be fair, i was taking awhile and breaking a few picks.


So, glad to be here, and if you are on XB and in Vivec, just look for the naked Dunmer splashing water on the fire at the blacksmith. I love to go out and lend a hand on a quest and also enjoy the humorous side of the game (like playing the lute in nothing but boots in Vivec). So feel free to find me!

P.S. Still looking for a naked drummer and naked flautist to meet on Sundays for a jam session.

I think I know t he guy you're talking about, he's a guildie of mine & is the NICEST person you'll meet on the game.
And yes we all want to sleep in a bed made of his voice

You meant Vivec City. In the future can you please say 'Vivec City' so it doesn't sound like you're referring to the campaign Vivec?

It's a big world out there, didn't even know there was a Vivec campaign.

This gent is on XB and was an exceptional guide and player, honestly his patience and willingness to share soul gems was classy. He didn't just ride off into the distance, he waited for those of our group without mounts or not so good at direction. It was great not only breaking our cherry with bosses and boss mechanics but just simply being able to see how high level players go about the business of dishing out the damage.

Nice to know there are some awesome players out there. The whole group really had great players in it so I am really looking forward to meeting and playing alongside more folks!

After he logged off, the 6 of us set about on area chat yelling for a new "daddy".

I can't convey the hilarity of this night, it was a genuinely great time.

Fantastic story! I have spent a lot of time worrying about people being horrid in various scenarios, but I have found that most people are super great and very nice. The stories about the awful people really held me back for quite some time, so finding out that it was nothing to be concerned about really changed things for me. I think it is important to keep sharing stories like this, where things are awesome because they might help someone else get past something they are anxious about.

I've always been concerned of the typical CoD behavior an in general buttheads that end up burping, vaping, breathing, or listening to annoying music with a hot mic.

If anything I usually have issues with finding anyone ON a mic but thats not really a major issue tbh. I can live without the hot mic crap.

I'm happy to share the experience and if anyone is on XB again, feel free to find me. I do enjoy having as much fun as we can and knowing when to take things seriously. I enjoy goofing around with the emotes as much as I enjoy learning about becoming a proper dps (non-leaderboard/trial) PvE player.

u guys having zone voice chat i thinik makes such a differnt experience to us pc players . really makes it a social actiivty,. i wish we had it, be good for organising thiings spur of the momennt too.

Everyone knows pugs are bad, everyone in them is bad. Strangers are mean and Aussies have no time for video games, given all the Alligator wrestling going on.
