Clockwork city furnishing plans?

Any guidance on where new plans might be? There’s some patch notes about factotums. Anyone know if this is an urn Hunt, or pickpocketing npcs, or from kills?

Your best bet is to use the crown store as they intended, or hope rngesus gets a drop for you from a random mob

I've gotten some from trash mobs but most from containers set to steal. 8th experiment place I've gotten some goodies.

If you mean plans in general - from containers (desks in particular) Were they Clockwork City plans? Oh hell no. I ground so much for Morrowind plans that I still don't have and haven't ever seen for sale, that I give up. This doesn't mean I'll be buying anything from the Crown Store - just more hosues sit empty until I figure out what game I go to next.

They don't want people crafting furniture anymore. They have made the new plans rarer than Morrowind purple patterns. They only want you buying furniture for cash.

I've come to accept this. They got greedy and are driving people away.

Oh yes. I finally bought Ebonheart Chateau (took months to save up the 3.8 million!) and now I really want Clockwork City trees for it. The Housing vendor only sells rocks, and I have yet to see a tree pattern for sale. I found 1 CWC plan last night - for a light that I don't like. At least it sold?

Clockwork furniture plans will be even more rarer than Morrowinds one.As there are like no urn/containers only food.I completed all quests and found like 10 containers in the whole place.Just ridiculous.

I have found 4 or so, and I am stealing in Clockwork City every day until I have my crow daily full, which about gets me to the fence limit.
    It's ridiculous.

Khajiit has never seen a single Clockwork City recipe since she first travelled there no.

This one she thinks you have a greater chance of finding a really happy Dunmer dancing on top of a pile of Aetherial Ambrosia while throwing Bouncing Armchair motif pages in the air.

You'll find them in the same places that you'd normally find furnishing plans, except these ones are zone-specific...... and have such low drop rates you straight up will probably never get one, compounded by there being no good place to farm them unlike Morrowind plans.

I highly recommend giving up on your hopes of getting those plans. If you aren't willing to cough up the crowns you won't be getting those furniture items unfortunately :(

Exactly, they no longer want people crafting furniture. I actually would not be surprised if they removed furnishing patterns in one of the next expansions. They already despise those of us who like to decorate and craft our own furniture. This is evidenced by they laughably low drop rates of patterns since morrowind.

I can see it now. "New expansion announced! Homestead 2! Hey we know how time consuming farming for patterns is folks. Well we removed the patterns and now you can easily just buy all the furniture from the crown store, no more grinning urns! (Prices have been slightly increased because we just love you all)"

Since the Factotum "fix" I have been recording my findings. I have been looting the trunks/backpacks/desks/etc of CWC (mostly in the Brass Fortress) a LOT.

211 global green plans: 1 CWC green plan (I'll be reporting this problem again this week...)
37 global blue plans: 5 CWC blue plans
7 global purple plans: 0 CWC purple plans

I refuse to buy items in the crown store that I can get in game as I am on a budget and only have my subscription crowns to spend. I think ZoS needs to realize that people who want stuff NOW will buy in the crown store anyways and those of us who cannot afford things will farm for mats and plans to get the crafted stuff. They don't have to make it THIS difficult to find plans! They will still sell crown things!

Lets face it crafting will never be great in ESO. Its always one step forward two steps back. Housing was supposed to be good for crafters but the screwed the pooch with furnishing plans. Then Vvardenfell came along and purple recipes for furniture and the BA motif made it too much of a grind.

Along comes CWC and purple recipe drop rates are almost non existent. Oh but wait we gave you a Transmutation table. Well great, except that us crafters cant use it for other peoples gear. And most end game players don't take time to craft so who did this benefit? A small % of players. Not to mention you have a 200 stone limit, which with the drops on those you wont have to worry about filling that. Buy some crystals, nope they are bound.

So yeah crafting is getting slowly killed, so much potential too. I'm not sure who decided to make crafting this way but they are choking the life, "fun" out of it.

You can try to buy them - greens are usually 200k fabricant and 100-200k clockwork, blue - 500k fabricant, don't see the clockwork yet, purple - 1M+ for fabricant, no clockwork seen yet.

Yeah I'm torn. I've spent thousands on this game so I don't want just give up that investment. Not to mention the time I've invested, but the grind is starting to wear me out. Little by little I'm losing interest, bugs, lag, the grind for everything its getting to the point where the fun is leaving and its starting to feel like work.

I've been forcing myself to stay in and help out my guild but other than helping them I dont have much interest. I may just continue to keep up the guild hall and motifs.

I feel your pain. When I am done with dailies in CWC, VVardenfell, Gold Coast, Magic/undaunted/Fighters, I have a feeling that I have a second job... I am thinking to do something which has no relevance to getting some achievements - like quest again in Craglorn solo, or do solo all normal dungeons first and whatever vets I can do later on... Or try to kill Manticora in nSO.. At one point I was soloed it to 80% or so, but it is really hard.. Something which is not routine... I don't like PVP, but Cyro PVE is good - may be will collect all skyshards there... Hard to say. But I am thinking about some non trivial end game, which will not be grinding/motifs/recipes/trials. Something which is fun for me. Will see.
And of course, I am checking all new MMO out there. As soon as I will see better graphics than ESO - I'll seriously consider moving there. Dark and Light was promising, but unfortunately, it is the same crappy engine as in Archeage... Will see.

Since Morrowind, It has become painfully clear that ZOS is trying to force us all into the crown store over letting us enjoy crafting our furniture. Also, nerfing the drop rate of the Skooma Bubbler and CWC furnishings is definite evidence of this greedy a$$ move. Stop it Zos. Increase the damn drop rates! If this goes on your greed may even rival EA and the *** storm they are experiencing now over the new Star Wars.

Trees, some towels, some broken parts and pistons and whatnot. The furniture recipes are out there, last night I got a tree... supposedly animated. My suggestion? Run with one or two more people, seems like drops are better with one or two people if you are hitting up containers.

Same here, I'd love to say I had seen something for CWC, yet all Ive found has been trinkets, premade and only a few of those. Please adjust the drop, or remove standard prints from dropping in a dlc zone to increase my chances of seeing a zone specific print- As many times as I farmed urns in Morrowind I should know all of them, but instead have learned and sold tons of prints from the base housing set.

That is exactly what I am doing. Nothing left in CWC really for me besides furnishing plan farming, and seeing with the droprate farming is impossible and just pointlessly frustrating... there is, for me atleast, not enough to justify buying CWC or keep ESO+ for that alone. Don't get me wrong... I loved CWC and the month ESO+ I got to play it definitely worth it. I just have done it all (well all important for me stuff).

I own all other dlc's outright so don't need ESO+ for that. So I will become ESO+ again with the added bonus of the next DLC to play. Or spend my crowns on that one, seeing I didn't use them for CWC now. I gotten a grandtotal of 0 CWC furnishing plans by now by the way. So it kind of feels having or not having CWC would not matter as it looks like guildstore buys anyway... if I even bother at the prices they surely go for with this droprate. I like the CWC furniture, but not THAT much.

What I want to say really is that a good enough furnishing droprate would have been enough to push me over the edge to buy the DLC for keeps. I already have morrowind for bad droprate furnishing farming.

Feel you there. I've soloed most normal dungeons already. Have all quests in Cyro done along with skyshards and delves. Might need on or two fish still. Used to run trials every weekend but most of the people I ran with have already left. Used to run dungeons for fun but have done so many to grind gear they arent fun anymore. Had a huge interest in housing but since release its gone down hill.

    Such wasted potential.

O! Fishing! You are right, I forgot about that. Thanks for the idea! Never done it :)

Shredded like ~100 monster sets this weekend and a lot of overland and trial sets. Just needed some space :) I simply don't need 25 infused or divine Valkyn Skorias :) And I cannot sell them or anything, because zos made it bop. No trials anymore. May be vAS, nAS is too easy and weapon is not actually that good. May be bow... but even this I am not sure...

Now I am in some strange things like - find all Maiq's locations, jump from crazy place to the river/lake, etc. It is a pity that nobody's left in zos who can implement spell crafting. That would be great! The whole new line of activity! But all they are doing - some strange DLCs like CWC which is not even the full zone and extremely easy. As long as you are done with motifs - there is nothing you want there. May be vAS will have some attention, but personally I don't want to do this. Just yet another trial. And boss mechanics as dumb as usual - 100M HP and temporary invincibility. As long as you know what to kill - should not be a problem. So it is kinda boring...

I am actually not into housing, but furniture recipes is one of those very few areas which is picking my interest - another one is motifs. Will see.

Yep. The CWC drop rate is depressing. Was going to buy the CWC house but not any more until I can actually craft stuff to put in it.

12K crowns for the stupid house isn't enough, they have to nickel and dime us for the furniture too. I refuse to buy furniture in the the crown store when they should be available in game. I'm not expecting them to fall like rain, but it would be nice to actually see some progress every few days.

    Penny wise, dollar foolish.

Also starting to lose interest with all the grind, grind, grind for everything. Getting sick of doing nothing but grind for gold, grind for mats, grind for motifs, grind for furniture plans. I've hardly done anything but grind for months.

But guess what, they don't care and it will probably never change

Obviously the sub pay for ESO+ in addition to the extra crowns I buy every few months isn't good enough for them any more.

It pains me to say this because I love this game but I am starting to toy around with the idea that I might buy the dlc outright (or not) and cancel my sub or just go play some single player games where I don't have to grind and can actually enjoy the content for a change.
