Lesser mages are often surprised to find that the typical apparel of a Telvanni Master Wizard is more stately than ostentatious. The truth is, Wizard Lords such as Divayth Fyr have no need of gaudy display. Their power lies elsewhere.

The Telvanni Master Wizard costume is available on all platforms for a limited time from November 9 to November 13, and costs 2,000 crowns.

Will the Telvanni Master Wizard costume be your new look? Show us your screenshots here or on Twitter at TESOnline!

    Ouch that price.

Anyone who picks this up if you can do some example dye pictures I will be very grateful. My choice on this purchase entirely depends on how well I can dye it.

Normally I go with a dark steel armour, gold highlights red cloth. TBH anything showing which parts can be changed would be great as it's still a few hours until I get home.

I did see in another thread that the red armour edges can't be dyed which is a damn shame as I wanted those in gold.

No need to do anything special DocFrost but a huge thanks for the offer!

Was just about to buy it. I'm glad I checked the thread you linked. Red parts are not dyable, so for me it's a nope on this one (don't like red trims). Shame. I was hyped for it since it was datamined.

I often wonder if the crown prices that ZOS chooses are a result of a non-monetary consideration.

What I mean is often times the crown prices are inconsistent when compared to other items that are similar.
In addition to this, the crown relationship to real money is often confused in terms of ESO Plus, ESO Plus on PS4 and PC where you can buy multiple months at a discount, Crown prices, crown sale prices and crowns awarded for service issues.

Its not just this item that is out of whack in a crown to real money relationship but all cosmetics. Pets, Mounts, costumes, houses, consumables, account change tokens. I'm not saying one is too high and another is too low but that all do not have a reasonable value placed in terms of crowns to real money.

Only DLC seems to relate as it should
I know people often comment "well don't buy it" but that isn't addressing the concerns and observations. I believe the comment comes of out of place as the response shouldn't be interpreted as complaining, but instead as questioning. I've not seen one answer since the crown store was created that addresses the actual question.

-What is ZOS's concept on crown too real money relationship for crown store items?

-What is ZOS's concept on crown too real money relationship for crown store items?

Let me give it a shot - the more expensive* it looks the more we'll charge.

It's actually a fairly common concept, I'm not trying to be facetious.

*Edit: add to that extra sparkles, visual or sound effects, uniqueness, nostalgia etc - and the infamous "limited" availability

As for people who are concerned about the price of the costume - it seems to fall under the 'legendary' skin category.

Think costumes like Elven Hero, Breton Hero, Nord Hero, the Morag Tong costume etc. All were similarly priced

The costume looks great, but it suffers from that thing that's been plaguing a lot of costumes recently: vast undeyeable regions. In this case, the bright red trim. I'm of a pretty strong opinion that almost no areas of a piece of gear or armor/costume should be undeyeable, but one of the biggest is definitely the trim!! It has a profound aesthetic impact and is one of the first things I look to be able to dye. Also, apparently the chain skirt has difficulty holding color at all, which is of course a bit of a problem when the rest of the armor appears to take dyes so well. These two issues have been especially noticeable on all of the Dunmer and Argonian costumes to date, which is very unfortunate because they've been so creatively designed in terms of cut, texture, and ornamentation.

EDIT: After some consideration, the chain being a little dulled as actually not a huge concern given the placement of the perfectly-dyeing sections. The real big issue here is the red trim. I wish these would get a revisit, or some kind of community feedback before going live.

Should have been a motif, should still be a motif... crown store gets access to rare items such as mansiona and arminger and even achievement items (ach furnishings, costume lookalikes) so this should also become a motif

Our feedback is that we can refuse to buy the motif because of how poor it dyes and rely on making it ourself https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/380038/guide-how-to-make-your-own-telvanni-master-wizard-outfit-that-dyes-well-without-paying-2k-crowns#latest this is a how to make guide.

It looks rather odd on female characters IMO. The back is oddly bulky where it goes over the shoulder blades and the large breasts combined with the bulging part over the collar bone looks strange.

Which is unfortunate, because I started Clockwork City today, and Divayth Fyr looks absolutely smashing in that daedric armor. It just looks terrible on my female characters.

Why isn't all of it dyable? If you're going to make it this expensive can't you at least have someone spent 30s at a dye station to see if it actually works?

dyes very badly. Main armor parts are okay with strong colors like yellow/gold or blue, but black and red gets tooo bright (blood-red becomes pink). The off-parts are even worse and some parts are not affected by dyes anyway.

disapointed about that after I spent 2K on it. :(

Stop the grind! Get rid of stupid events and daily-quest gallore. Get rid of "have a chance of 1 in a million to get a piece of 1 in 30 to get a stupid motif or pet... wtf..."
And at this point just remove all classes and have everyone choose their set of skills. then balance accordingly to skills always used vs. skills never used.

I noticed that it looks significantly worse on female characters with large breasts, which actually get even bigger, to the point at which I think it looks bad. Or at least worse than regular heavy armor. I hope that this is only a bug and will be fixed. Anyone else agrees or am I just weird?
