Bash/Interrupt Broken (ZOS, WTF IS THIS!?)

ZOS... Bruh... Fam’... This is not acceptable. Nor cool. I was running my MagDen through VMA in order to get her the Stormproof title when this occurred. Thank goodness I wasn’t going for my Flawless Conqueror run with her on that run, or I’d have probably broken another coffee table. Lol.

Now look. If I’m encountering this in a solo instance, I know for a fact I wasn’t tripping in attempting to bash/interrupt people in Battlegrounds/Cyrodiil. Which now makes me wonder how many kills I’ve robbed of due to my bash not connecting, and or working upon the intended target.

As a side note, I’ve been occurring this with all types of staves and with shields. Haven’t had this issue while dual-wielding, although I wouldn’t rule out this bug/issue occurring with those weapons as well.

    This specific issue has been known to happen with those flameshapers. For some reason their "actual" body easily gets desynched from their "rendered" body. If you had bashed the air a couple feet to the right/left you'd probably gotten the interrupt.

    As you said though, this is rather unacceptable and broken AF

    I had no idea that this happens in particular with those Flameshapers, as I’ve never encountered that particular bug until recently.

    However, I have been experiencing said bug even outside of the Maelstrom Arena. I could be dueling someone, attempt to bash with my shield, and nothing will happen. This occurs especially when facing either Sorcerers or Templars to be specific.

    My gf mains a magplar and has noticed her hit box on enemies is really weird compared to other classes she plays. During the double xp I leveled one to see what she was talking about and do have to agree something is very off.

    I have been getting these bugs in Trial runs, seen it on the Twin Fight in MoL a lot. 3+ different people have to go up and bash till one of theirs works.

    It’s quite interesting that you mention this involving MoL. I was speaking to a few guildies on Skype when I was told a carry run went south from things being unable to be interrupted in MoL. Whole thing went up in ruins, all because they couldn’t get past The Twins. I was told that mechanics were being followed to a tee, people were rotating on queue, and the DPS was remarkable. However, they couldn’t progress due to the lack of interrupts. This is bad, comrade. Real bad.

    @Yngol is right. I have given up on ever bashing the flameshapers :lol:, I always go straight for a burn on them in the rounds and just don't let them spawn ever on boss stage. I do think crushing shock works to interrupt, even though they aren't actually in the "right" place; or if you shield through the fire attack, then they tend to rubber band to where they actually are within a few seconds. Not very helpful, but it hasn't been fixed and has been present for as long as I can remember :confused:.

    That’s a tad bit unsettling that you’ve pretty much given up on following the mechanics (in that particular set of occurrences within Stage 8) in order to progress through VMA.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom Could you all by a chance pass this along to your team of bug investigators to look into? This is something of pretty big importance, and could have a rather large impact on people’s experiences in both PvE and PvP. Being unable to interrupt things properly is a major issue.

    The desync happens more often than you think really. Even important boss adds get desync easily and that's especially frustrating to say the least.
