‘‘Twas the Daily yesterday and came up as a random 3 Times. Couldn’t beat it once. I know you have to break free from last boss cause she heals up ridiculously fast but no one else seems to get this for whatever reason. Even after explaining.

You barely need a tank in this dungeon and on the last boss, tank is really twiddling thumbs. There’s not much to do. Just standby and watch the boss heal to full health because no one else will break free.

I try being the closest to boss, furthest from boss, bash the boss, nothing works. She never targets me. I watch the DPS burn her down, then she channels an ability on them and heals back up. All I can do is Just debuff and chill.

There’s barely a need for a tank in this dungeon and a complete slap to the face on last boss as unable to contribute hardly anything to this fight. Let me bash her or something. This is so lame.

She does summon a couple of frost atronachs that can do some nasty things to squishy dps, so you are useful there.

My suggestion would be just to keep a set of gear on you that lets you play off-dps or off healer for those sort of dungeons.

if the dps in the group is any good, the frost atronachs melt in second that it's pointless to taunt them.
it's better to switch gear to at least half dps, and keep sword and shield only for pierce armor and heroic slash.

Underated ability: the defile from shield bash cuts her healing.

Low slash lessens her attack (even more important cause you can't taunt)

Pierce armor and crusher increase dps against boss to make her healing less of an issue.

Granted, I absolutely hate bosses that ignore taunt on all their attacks. H.A.T.E. But a good tank does a LOT more than taunt and block.

Healer with inf crusher mainbar + stam dk - no need in tank

I que in as a tank and was prepared to tank; and yeah I heroic slash, pierce armor, warhorn etc. the DPS did burn the ads down before they could do anything. Then she channels a random attack on someone and heals all the way back up.

It’s ridiculous. She should target the closest person being the tank usually and be done with it. Instead I e had to leave 3 groups that couldn’t figure it out. Only one person doesn’t know what to do it screws The Who,e thing up.

Yeah, this is the only boss I've seen in 4 man dungeons that seems to completely ignore taunts no matter what, so tank is definitely just kind of... there to watch.

Others bosses situationally shed taunt, like the lamia boss in Arx will shed only if anyone gets more than a few meters away from her, but not to the point where the entire fight the boss just kind of does whatever.

Several bosses outright can't be taunted. The Direfrost witch, the netch boss and dwarven spider in Darkshade II, the red phase centurions in Darkshade 1 and Volenfell. Otherwise, most bosses have mechanics that situationally ignore taunt in order to strike some other group member.

In this situation, the group wasn't respecting a boss mechanic. Sometimes a group doesn't have to stand in stupid to die because of stupid.
