Nerevar's projection in Clockwork City should be wearing different armor

Basically Nerevar should be wearing some sort of beautiful armor that we often picture him with, and his trademark mohawk (not that awful ancient elf helmet, at least use the Ordinator one or give him the Mohawk Hairstyle and no helm)

When I was playing TES III Morrowind, my character was an Argonian... poor Dunmers and their prophecies... :D

Surely, this garden of remembrance, the Elegiac Replication, is like any other piece of TES Lore - designed to represent the viewpoint of its in-game author. It is therefore subjective, self-serving, inaccurate, incomplete, etc. by design.

The decision to depict Indoril Nerevar in Ancient Elf armour is Sotha Sil's. Indoril-style armour, complete with crested helm, has always been in the game and was available to be used by the devs, if it was appropriate. It clearly was not appropriate for this piece of visual lore...

The question then is why Sotha Sil chose a debased image of Nerevar, while depicting himself in his current godly form and not in the form he had at the time Nerevar was alive. The difference in height this creates in the image is emphatic. I believe Sotha Sil wanted himself to be looking down at Nerevar, to try to perfect his own memory of Nerevar as being a figure of lesser stature. What it says to me is, "I am the god of Perfection, you were always less than your legend. I am the inevitable future of Nirn-Perfected, you were unavoidably expendable."

In the game, as part of Sotha Sil's personal perfection process, we see that he has excised his original, painfully-accurate memories of Nerevar, and hidden them away from himself in the Mnemonic Planisphere.

The bit of the Elegiac Replication I enjoy most is this...

The Tribunal in the present. A lock box and two funeral urns. A visual pun. "My legacy is safe, but their doom is already sealed."

That's not the present. It's a premonition of the future. Almalexia: Dead. Sotha Sil: Dead. Vivec: Locked away who knows where by the Daedra in Oblivion. Sotha Sil saw his own downfall and demise and rather than do anything about it, or accept his fate, or anything at all, he chose to hide it away so he wouldn't have to look at it.

The whole sequence showcases Sotha Sil's MO. If it hurts, if you feel guilty about it, then lock it away and hide from it. Just like he does by trying to seal himself off in his city in TES 3: Tribunal. It's ultimately really sad and pathetic.
