Not a single zone is free of these scum bags on PS4 NA. I freaking hate them and become a rage comic every time I have to block another one of their accounts. ZOS needs to take care of this; I didn't realize this specific website was an issue across all servers and platforms.

The only way, ever, to stop gold farmers is to either stop trade entirely or make the tradeable items so short a time, and relative ease, to get that players feel risking their info and account on gold sellers isn't worth it. The latter is either a delicate balance, that the devs here are failing miserably at, or an easy adjustment to RNG drop chances and gold drop totals.
I've seen it work on a couple games, but most sadly feel they want to push their own cash shop consumables so much that they punish people for actually playing without them so people then pay the cheaper rates for better benefits from gold farmers since they have to buy their way ahead anyway.

There wouldn't be middle-men gold sellers here if there wasn't an easy profit.

It's the truth. This is mutually assured destruction of the game unless they build the system to cut out the profitability to begin with. Either eliminate trading or make tradeable items and gold super easy to acquire.
I think the first step would be to limit trading to item for item only and have gold be account locked, but I'm a much better fan of the "make things less grindy" method since it is much easier to implement and more palatable to all players.

I agree. Rather than the 6 month appearance of GM's (If even) - Should be a daily occurrence. At the minimum banning these accounts is necessary and not suspending them for 3 days trollolol. Banning them cuts into profits and if a seller is banned a few times before making sales he will move onto easier prey/game for sure.

Every time you see them advertise in zone chat just put a message up saying something on the lines of "buy from these and you are funding international terrorism" people need to be careful how they spend their money these days and this kind of market is ideal for funding bad things.. There is no difference between a counterfeit designer handbag or a few dreugh wax and a few thousand gold, mark my words the funds raised from these gold sellers are not going to put bread on the families table or repair a church roof, they are being used for bad things.

What do you base this on? Assumptions? It's most likely chinese or eastern europe gold sellers; they do it for profit for their own gain. Some/many of them are also scammers and swindlers that will steal your credit card information and misuse it for transactions, others will take your money and give you no gold, others will steal your account and rip it off items and gold. So definitely don't buy gold, it's bad because it's immoral, it hurts the game and other players, it's against the TOS, and it's very risky. But don't scare with this terrorism nonsense unless you got some credible sources to support your claims, you are only muddying the waters and making warnings about the dangers of gold buying seem less credible.

That's a ridiculous notion. Gold sellers may be making money for themselves, but they aren't making that much. It's relatively lucrative for them only because normal legitimate work in their countries is usually low pay for usually physical hard work. Gold selling one the other hand is high pay for less hard work, but it does requires skills (so for those that have these skills gold selling is a very alluring opportunity). But to suggest that they are making anything near what is required to be funding terrorism is laughable. Besides, gold selling is not illegal, so the risks are low. Even when they hack, and yes while illegal, they are operating out of countries like China or Romania that doesn't give a *** about western countries mmo's getting hacked. Terrorism is a whole other ball game; it's very highly prioritized by law enforcement around the world. If these gold sellers were to fund terrorism they'd be facing some serious opposition and investigation from law enforcement; while the payout would still be relatively small and way to little to fund terrorist operations.

Why are you lol'ing? I never said you were defending them and the sentence you quoted me for certainly doesn't give the impression of me accusing you of defending them.

I also have never claimed that there weren't gold sellers that actually care about reputation and actually deliver the purchased goods. What I do say is that there are many that scams and that it is risky; do you deny this?

At least on ps4 there isn't much that Zos can do against them. They use throwaway accounts that can be created in a few minutes on a ps4 without any cost. These accounts are not the ones that are doing the farming or gold transfer.

There are a few threads on the forums describing their methods, they are hard to track down.

Also as long there is demand (gold) there will be people try to supply these demands, it's called Capitalism ;-)
