I chose to save her and I received the 100% experience scroll, Proctor's Bronze Fists and a skill point.

The skill point and gear is for completing a Story Quest, just to be clear. So everyone got those regardless of their choice. The only difference is whether you get:

Power: Sotha Sil's Codex of Infinite Possibility, a 150% exp boost for 2 hours

Save Luciana: Luciana's Codex of Mastery, a 100% exp boost for 2 hours

No...saving Luciana IS the good choice. Sotha Sil says that she will put this “gift” to great use, and Luciana is grateful for what you’ve done for her and vows to continue to serve in her duties faithfully. There is NO HINT WHATSOEVER that Luciana would have preferred to die.

Actually if you choose power and let her die she's happy to rest and be with her son.

Saving her denies her this and forces her back into servitude.
