People impulse buy because short duration sales reinforce the feeling that something is going to be missed if immediate action is not taken.

The good thing is that it limits how many Evil Rudolphs we see in the game. I barely see any of the normal Rudolphs in the game.

100,000 x $10 (reasonably priced mount) = $1,000,000

YOU explain why they are greedy to want $40,000 over $1,000,000

Do you really believe only 1000 people would buy this at 40$, and 100 000 would buy at 10$? As @Voxicity said, your drawing numbers out if tin air.

Their team are doing something as this:



Finding the perfect balance between price, and numbers sold, to reach maximum profit. In this case, they figured to go with 40$ as it will profit more by comparing with previews sales.

For ZOS the coat of reskinning the mount is very low.
By releasing it for such a short duration they get people to impulsivly spend their crowns, then do it again to get them to buy more crowns.
I found it funny, but i don't really have issues with it. As per the cost, the high price discourages the majority of players from buying it, thus creating an "air of exclusity" to the person on it.
I do prefer these types of reskins over the crown crate ones. I've yet to see one of the rare mounts that i like.

The new one is overpriced? Ha! The original elk mount was HIGHER priced. That thing is still a running joke to this day.
