Chat broken... AGAIN!!

Maybe if you removed the forcing function of moving to group chat, this problem would go away? Ya think?

What is the actual problem with your chat?

When you are forced into group chat, but try to return to guild chat (since you're running with guildies and want to continue chatting) you can't get back in... it gives you the endless countdown until you close application...

Even worse when you're running a trial and 8 people in your trial have to close app for this bug... and you spend the next ten minutes waiting on chat to correct itself before you can begin the trial.

Thanks for providing more detail! What platform are you on? I suspect that's important information for getting your issue looked at, because on PC/NA I just have to enter the chat window and type /g to enter the group chat and /g# like /g3 to enter my third guild's chat. It's very quick and easy and I haven't had any problems with it.

PS4, and I'm not talking text chat, this is voice chat that's broken.

Can you think of any more information that might help ZOS identify and address you problem? The original post was very light on actual detail.

I've worked in IT before and giving as much information as possible is always appreciated.

ZoS will know the issue. It's been a regular one on PS4 since day 1.

You get forced into Group Chat upon grouping, you try to switch chats (sometimes you don't even get put into group chat, you don't even make it that far). upon trying to switch chats you end up with a permanent countdown that keeps refreshing and you cannot access ANY chat from this point forward unless you close application the whole way.. logging doesn't fix it.

Like I say, it's been dogging console players regularly since day 1... it's not new. It's just never been completely fixed reliably.
