I can see the actual CP Rank if I am looking at the other Avatar and I see the labels, but in the Guild List I just see the cap. I do see the actual level in the Group Bars showing you who is in the group your in. I think the only addon I have that would show the CP Rank is either AUI or Slightly Improved Experience Bar.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I doubt ZoS will ever do something like that, just seems like a very minor issue.

The only suggestion I can make is to play attractive female characters, that way people will have something else to look at, and not notice your cp.

Attractive female characters can actually be made in this game o.O Never knew........

Well, cant be as crazy as a certain korean made mmorpg thats running off Unreal 3 and somehow spite it using a engine not meant for mmos, still has better optimization than ESO, course, half the players in that game rolls the pedobait race.

I agree with @anitajoneb17_ESO 100% on this. Luckily for me I don't get random invites to vet stuff, but I've had to explain to some people already that just because I got a crapton of CP, it does not magically make me a good player. And no, I did not grind, CP just accumulates when you play a couple of hours per day for the last few years. Some people watch TV to relax during the evening - some go out for drinks. I play ESO (mostly questing). Doing master writs actually gave me a massive boost a few months ago.

I can hold my own in normal content and even join a veteran dungeon sometimes (tanking). But I have zero interest in pushing the dps limits or looking to complete vMA or vTrials.

You could set your online status to "Do not disturb", then you have a good reason not to reply to (every) request(s).

Or set it to "Invisible/offline" altogether, and immediately get zero requests. ;)

"Hey forum, look at me, i'm 1k!, your not. I get noticed a lot". Then complain and want Z to change just for one persons "annoyance". Seriously. Makes me want an avoid button to go with ignore.

Replying to messages is standard, normal, polite behaviour for standard, normal, polite people.

What advantage do you get from seeing other people's CP levels above the current cap ?
What am I taking away from anyone ?
How does it offend you ?

And I don't get whispers or messages from anyone, including my friends. Brilliant, fantastic idea. Really.

You all providers of unique, miracle solutions have to realize also that it is not only in the game chat. It's also on guild vocal, forums, etc.

    Think you're SoL, OP.

This was a big discussion back when they implemented CP caps.

There were 3.5 camps; those who wanted to see/show actual CP.
Those who wanted to see/show actual CP up to the cap, and
Those who wanted to see/show allocated CP (and some wanted to see/show no CP, ever).

Lots of discussion ensued in the forums; Zos lurked, and came up with the system they have.

I'd be surprised if the revisit it.

Well, the real CPs being visible is only accessible through add-ons. All I ask is this accessibility via add-ons to be removed. Which simply means, ZOS enforcing the system they have chosen back then (limited to current cap).

Ingame, ppl think u r an amazing player because u have high cp, in the forums, the same [snip] ppl read your post as "Hallo, my name is Wolfgang von Epeen and i have a problem, that u [snips] will never have in your whole life."

They feel like a bad player, because they believe u r better than them. And that makes them angry.

... which would tend to prove my point : displaying full CPs calls for unwanted problems no matter how you present it.
And there's nothing I can do against gaining CPs (besides stopping playing). Could we at least have an option to disable XP gain whenever we want to ?

Sorry for trying to help. [ignored] Also, no worries that you'd ever get a group invite or any other kind of request from me. I don't care how many CPs you have.
