Don't know whether or not that'd be a real improvement on the current situation. I'm apprehensive since getting the motif now may not mean I can use it in the future. The style items needed to craft in Grim Harlequin are unobtainable - except for deconstructing items of said style..Which you won't be able to make unless you spend real money on mimic stones.

If I'd be able to use the transmogrification system to circumvent that (as I'm not going to spend real money on a motif only to spend more money just to be able to actually craft) then I would really want to get the motif. But if the transmogrification still requires the motif's style item for whatever reason, then it doesn't add any value or use (for me, at least) and I will not be spending real money.

@MissBizz but we don't know even approximately how it's going to work, nor a timeline for when they're looking to launch it. The first one, of course, being more important since we at least know it will come at some point.

Will it even be based on motif knowledge? Will there be additional per-use costs, or will it work like all the good parts of the cosmetic system, like mounts, dyes, and skins? And if there IS an associated cost, is there going to at least be a preview system so we can experiment with a full outfit before committing? Will it be transforming an individual item's look, or be an override for that slot like costumes? If only transforming an individual item, can we at least make it appear to be any of the three armor weights, or are we stuck with the original armor weight? How will unique item skins be handled, like undaunted helms/shoulders and maelstrom weapons? For that matter, will we even get to transmog weapons at all, or just armor? Shields? So many question!!

So then don't buy it. *shrugs* If it's comes before next halloween, and if it does depend on motif knowledge, I guess you (not YOU, but anyone making this choice) won't be able to transmog to grim until next halloween?

Maybe transmog comes and has nothing to do with motif knowledge, ah well.

I love Grim Harlequin so much! So much details - I love it. I was surprised how low price it has. I thought it will be 3000-6000 crowns (everybody will remember that Celestial books with 6000 crowns price, yes?), but only 2200. Did you noticed how many mimic stones you will get if you buy that motif book? I think it's worth it.

Exactly. Frostcaster only came with 5 or so mimic stones but this comes with 10x that! It's a steal for the stones alone.

There are no style trait drops for the Grim Harlequin motif. You can only get the style stones from deconstruction. The style mats from the witches festival are only for the Hollowjack motif.
