My latency today is 1/3 what it was a year ago. They've done something to fix it since One Tamriel.

IMO there's two things that need fixing:

    1. Infinite loading screen.

    2. Use abilities on Key Press and NOT Key Release.

Stop the nerfs? Better housing? Auction house? Jewel crafting? Responding to popular ideas?

Nerfs are needed to balance things, 8 mag sorc dps runs for world record scores were not cool earlier this year... Housing they do not care about anymore, but I would love to see it improved. Auction house would destroy the economy, it would just be 100 people undercutting each other every hour to the point where everything would be insanely cheap. Jewel crafting will come in the future, when they really need an insurgence and life line to bring back old players that quit. Responding to popular ideas makes too much sense, and is way too logical. Therefore ZOS will never do it.

Nerfs are not needed for balance.

Auction house would allow smaller players to make money without bowing down to guilds and would reduce prices and make items easier to buy. All good unless you are making bank off the current system.

What do you propose to balance things?

Nerfs are not needed if you buff everyone else to the same level, which is what most players would want even if they don't admit it. There is a reason people played sorcerers and did those "world record runs". They actually enjoyed it.

    sigh.

No. You need to nerf what's overpowered and buff what's underpowered and stay around a certain level. If you refuse to nerf and only buff, once something became even more overpowered, you have to buff other things, now if you overbuffed one of them - buff the rest, etc. Huge inflation. Content would become way too easy or would have to be buffed accordingly, numbers would become unnecessarily huge, millions of hp for overland mudcrabs etc. And the growth would virtually never stop - because once there is any disbalance, according to your logic you can only buff what's underperforming.

Think what you're saying in future.

As about enjoy 8 sorc runs? They didn't enjoy sorcs necessarily, they enjoyed being strong. Players that push for records don't play what they enjoy, they play what's most efficient. Also, even if we assume that it's just that only 1 class is enjoyable as a DPS - definitely something is not okay.
