hey guys i have filmed this spot a lot and even showed it on my stream , i have put many tickets in about. and over 2 weeks later its still happening. ZOS going to do something ?????? All so the amount of poeple selling gold mats in zone at a real cheap price , and have like 500 of them , id all most say that they mat boting any way , i have a video show it and us having a bit of fun with them.

Except, since they are a bot, they don't get upset. They just grind for hours, weeks, months on end.

Cool, but a waste of time. They just continue to run when you're not paying them any attention. Wish ESO/ZOS would actually do something about bots.

How do you upset a bot, isn't the point of a bot that it doesn't require human interaction. It'll just carry on when you get board and keep on its job.

I like to think that the delay is just ZOS letting them get nice and fat, and then dropping the ban hammer after they have sunk all the computer up-time into it.

I've wondered if you could gather enough players around them if it would crash them out.

You can continue to think that if you wish, but considering the number of people who have been reporting the same bots in the same places for weeks/months, and considering that the stuff the bots harvest gets mailed [several times/hour to keep the inv space available], to a central collection to be sold for realworld cash, I'd say they never get fat and they definitely never get banned.

They just keep making $$ for the bot-master.

What needs to happen is get Gamemasters back in the fold to deal with these bots. They haven't been around since what, launch? When botting was rampant. Well, it's happening again, and we need those people to get rid of these.

I'd take that job. Don't even need any special admin powers. Just a sure way to report them to someone that will take action in a timely manner. Maybe a fancy "hall monitor" badge would be nice.

I would too. Reporting them doesn't always work. In Shadowfen, I reported a bot once a day for 3 days. It was still there. Seeing that the devs not caring enough to get some Gamemasters or even admit there's an issue with the bots isn't reflecting on Zenimax very well.

This isn't the issue. The issue is that the report bot function sends a ticket into Oblivion.

When we give ZOS ticket numbers, bans happen that day, however the normal system it seems tickets are made and for whatever reason just end there, nothing happens. We shouldn't have to continually pester ZOS with ticket numbers just to get escalations on them before action is taken.

As I keep saying over and over and over and over...

Report feature needs refinement, it should be one click then a confirm from us to submit all the info the GM/Dev needs.
ZOS needs to sort their end so those tickets land instantly on the desk of someone who can take action within 48 hours at most.

Even if we could police ourselves by giving a few trustworthy players the power to go and wipe out these bots and spammers. Its becoming a problem on xonsole as well

I'm starting to see quite a few people in Rawl'kha and in dungeons using bot accounts they have purchased. They aren't hard to miss due to the naming convention.

I played Dire Frost yesterday and bumped into one. A level 56 sorcerer, equipped with a Maelstrom staff ( yes, a Maelstrom staff), hard casting frags while trying to sell ambrosia and golden mats super cheap. The guy dropped down dead at every mob, every boss fight, and even died from fall damage.

At the end of the dungeon, mind you, there's four of us, I wrote in group chat, " How much did you pay for your account?" I didn't specifically ask him, but he was the first to reply. "Wut?! No way man! What's buying an account?" I told him that his name was a dead give away. He replies " I ran out of names to use"........

We need active GMs and ban on id of game copy not account. First ban - 1 day. Second - 1 week. Third - month. Fourth - perma. This way bot users would have to buy new copy of game so it wouldnt be much harder for them to get back again.

So, you manually did what the Bots do? The only problem with that is you literally won't even slow them down.

They're scripted to go to follow their path until they enter combat, so they'll just move on to the next location.

Unless groups want to spend hours and hours defeating them this way, it does very little. Eventually, they'll just go to one of a dozen other locations and do the same.

By upsetting a bot, there not really a bot. I um caused an incident, thinking it was Bots somewhere. They got killed, they revive at same certain spot and teabags me. But they where originally standing still and used destroy until they got destroyed.
