Witches festival this year will be dissapointing. improvements that can be done to all events

There isn't really anything new to witches festival except 2 "new" masks that are reskinned and some furnishings you can buy at the achievement vendor but if you already did your achievements last year you can already buy them... there is no new achievements and I feel eso's witches festival pales in comparison to other mmo holidays.

There is no new achievements and no real incentive to do the event again if you are already done with last years achievements and have last year masks. this year will add 2 new masks that are just reskins of the old one and the only thing I see of value is the xp buff but that isn't really useful If you are maxed cap.

what Id like see done for the witches festival next year:
Pvp should be involved, keeps should be decorated with spooky decorations and pvpers should be rewarded with holloween items when they capture a keep
Treat or treating mechanic: give us goodie bags for visiting peoples houses in various major cities per zone that can include new furnishings and maybe mount upgrade etc.
New dyes: I'm looking at you crown exclusive orange dye
New achievements. come on it gives some of us something to do atleast and other mmos add atleast one achievement every year so we can do
quest like in new life that are optional and can reward a giant plunder skull

Also for the love of the divines please decorate vulkhal guard, davons watch, and daggerfall, vivec, and all the capital cities with spooky furnishings so it can feel like witches festival. one of my favorite things about mmo events is you know that there is an event going on. elden root can be transformed to look like a degrading tree with mists around it. mournhold would look spooky with mists around it as dunmer architecture gives off that vibe





And for new life festival have cryomancers manipulate the weather to make it snow in capital cities. have elden root frozen with spinners keeping the tree warm and the tree filled with decorations. have mounhold frozen with bright lights shining etc

Elden Root would be quite a spectacle during the New Life Festival, I surmise.

id love to see a frozen lake with a tree being warmed by spinners

How cool would this be if this game had a real in-world housing system where people had houses in the "suburbs" of cites (villages) or maybe creepy shacks in the wood, or rich guild leaders had mansions in the cities and giant country estates ... whatever ... the point is we could decorate neighborhoods for the season, go door to door trick-or-treating from actual players ....

In DAoC individual player houses could upgrade to have their own merchant to sell their wares ... for Halloween we could put "goodies" on our own merchants to give away to happy trick-or-treaters ...

Under the current housing system ofc this is all impossible

I don't know, but, the balance between upgrading existing content and providing new content must drive a bunch of folks crazy in zosland...

That's ok, ZoS is working on balancing. Right now they got to recalculate Petrify nerf distance, probably their minds exploding from numbers and formulas.

So much pessimism, the event has not even started yet, there are many people who will be seeing this event for the first time. I have all my achievements too, but still I like to see the server populated and people having fun.

BTW I like the suggestions you gave, it's just the complaining that usually lessens the impact.

Just lighten up, festivals are meant to be fun.
