Your top 3 changes to Cyrodiil

What are the top 3 changes you would like to bring to Cyrodiil?

To properly stay in the context of the question:
  • No "fix the lag!" reason - you can propose a change that could help server lag tho
  • No class balance, battleground or duelling changes - we're talking about Cyrodiil

To give a few examples of possible themes:
  • Changes on how to gain AP / how AP ticks work
  • Changes to scoring for factions
  • Changes to keeps / resources layout
  • Changes to existing or later rewards (such as Rewards of the Worthy - ROTW, End of campaign rewards)
  • Changes to Sneaking, AoE caps, Battle spirit...
  • Changes to...


I'll lay the ground quickly with boring and uninspired changes (but I had too many things in mind to just list them all):
  1. Add extra rewards to the ROTW such as alchemy materials, purple and (more rarely) gold tempers
  2. Add purple / gold Master / Maelstrom (and Asylum when they come out) weapons to the End of campaign rewards (limited to winning faction)
  3. Change the scoring system to give faction points proportional to objectives (currently 1 for everything, when I'd prefer seeing keeps being worth 3 to 5 points and scrolls being worth maybe 10-15 points).

That's it, you can go wild.

    1. Would also love a non-PvP Cyrodiil and Imperial City. It would satisfy two parties: players who just want to explore Cyrodiil in relative peace, and players who are there for the PvP and feel that campaign space is being wasted on PvE players. Also, how cool would it be to put aside faction differences and team up against the forces of Coldharbour, like in this Imperial City DLC artwork?

    2. Some kind of mount speed boost for Cyrodiil in particular, capped at the maxed speed for normal training. The Assault skill line has an active skill for riding, which is great. But there's still a substantial difference between someone with maxed riding skills and a newbie or new character, and 60 days is a lot of catch up time.

    3. Stacking siege weapons. For the love of Trinimac, think of the poor inventories.

    This has been discussed before, if you want a pve version of cyrodiil, they need to make atleast part of overland pvp.

    I want care bears, killing them and seeing the tears in PM is one of the few highlights left in cyrodiil.

    1. I want to see the dev's, wrobel particularly stream PVP 2-3 hours a night in prime time on the CP campaign for a month. No breaks in the time slots.

    2. Make AP higher by proximity. So if your faction holds alessia and one of your groups goes and pops (and takes) FT warden, that group gets a large AP bonus. This should spread things out.

    3. faction CD. 30 - 60 min. Sure go play your other faction toon but you dont get into cyro for an hour.

    - A completely different skill tree that only works in Cyrodiil.
    - Gear that only work in Cyrodiil.
    - Sane, non-stupid way to gain currency.
    - Give a "better" reason to take or hold a keep.
    - Consequences for gaining / losing keeps / resources etc..
    - A customized version of "Full loot PVP".

    1) PLAGUE: whenever huge amounts of players mass up, sickness should start spreading, making everybody weaker and slower. Would be a huge incentive for ppl to spread out instead of looking for the biggest zerg on the map

    2) ANTI-THEFT-SYSTEM and REWARDS for sieges: Owners of sieges should always be able to use their siege. If somebody else uses it "accidentially", he should be removed when the owner tries to get access to his siege. Also, ppl who siege keeps or outposts with their own sieges should get higher ticks as a reward. Same goes for ppl who set up camps.

    3) SEPARATION OF CYRODIIL and IMPERIAL CITY: IC should be directly accessible from PVE areas, IC-population should not be added up to Cyrodiil-population.

    #1 AP: Internal cooldown on captures. Should be 5 minutes to recieve an additional flip tick from resources, 10 from keeps & outposts. Successfully defending a flagged keep or resource should also have half of the flip tick associated with it's base defense tick. There should be no boost in AP whatsoever for playing with a larger group. A group of 16 should net 100AP EA for killing a fully timed player.

    #2 Each server should have COMPLETELY different win conditions and priorities:
    -Xarxes: Daedric Invasion. This is basically a legitimate PVE/PVP raid. Once every 4 hours (happens randomly during hour 1-3) all the dolmen's coalesce and create a mega dolmen where mob HP is multiplied x 10 and damage is brought on scale with standard trials. The encounter should aim to last 10 minutes to allow for enemy factions to contest. The spawning of mega dolmen is based entirely on the amount of dolmen's controlled (hitting the final pinion flips the dolmen into your faction's control until it is cleared next). The faction with the most controlled dolmens will have mega dolmen spawn on one of their owned dolmens. Mega dolmen boss is legit raid boss with raid level mechanics. Drops random gold weapon/jewelry of the PVP sets and despawns 30 seconds after it dies. Emp disabled.
    -Kastav: Zone control. Cyro is split in 15 zones (some larger than others), each one has a flag on it. Points are accrued via zones. Taking over a zone doubles AP gain for 5 minutes. Remove inner keeps and outter keeps (DClaw/Brindle/Drakelowe). Towns and outpots remain and the only spawn points are trikeeps, towns and outposts. The only way to generate AP is to kill enemy players. Emp disabled. Reduce campaign duration to 1 day. No rewards at the end. Perhaps make it more like battle royale where as the day progresses, the zones begin to close and shorten the map (ala BR or PubG for those of you living under a rock)
    -Shor: Imperial City. Remove Cyrodiil alltogether. Queue straight into IC. Controlling a district increases your HP/Magicka/Stam for each district. Depending on population, districts buffs may or may not move into the sewers. Remove continuous. Emp disabled.

    1.) Make all keeps and outposts unique. With unique flag placement for each. In order to promote different siege and defense experiences at each.

    2.) New siege equipment. How about an explosive you can plant with a timer at a door or wall?

    3.) Unify zone chat for all three alliances and unleash Scipio on the elves and Pact.

    Balance of PVP its became madness now before it was more fun now all if around Heavy armour if u dont have it ur basicly F... i have to say before it was much easier also in pvp with craftable sets ,

    2. We are free to do what ever we want.

    3. Dadera has and will always be our enemy. Not the Imperials, but why in Original ESO trailer. When all 3 alliances meet, circling around each other.

    Then new enemy approach and every made truce and attack new enemy in Cyrodiil? Why can't it possible be in the game (Pvp) as well? It totally makes no sense with alliance anymore.

    Even the race description and everything that changed, after one Tamerial. The alliance thing is all messed up. At least it did open others minds trying out other alliances.

    Even the hardcore alliance warriors, whom originally pledge Allegiance to there faction. Who always call out Traitor this and that. But after One Tameril it changes those minds for good. But Cyrodiil with alliance don't make sense anymore.

    1 introduce a 4 hour campaign that resets to neutral at the end so you can challenge guilds to emperor battles

    2 remove duplicate campaigns so more people are playing in the same one

    I like the idea of more daedric weirdness and a mega-dolmen would be awesome. Or some sort of intermittent attempts to establish a dolmen that could be defeated (taken "off the board").

    Alliance-related non-combat or relief missions, help transport a group of wounded or civilians, guard an NPC resupply going from somewhere to somewhere (wagon or pack guars, depending on location). Not "quests" that happen to take place in Cyrodiil, but things that contribute to the Alliance war in a more well-rounded way.

    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Rework keeps completely: They should be more unique, bigger and more destruct able (e.g. not always the same spots to create a very small breach, you should be able to destroy the whole wall or keep if needed). The inside of keeps should look more like the new map in battlegrounds with being able to fight on more levels and having space to kite ppl. Pvp guilds should be able similar to the housing system to make a more customized keep which can also serve as guild hall(player house) and there should be some reward/risk for claiming a keep.You will get a reward(alch, crafting, siege, ...) for each hour your guild holds the keep and the reward is better the higher the sum of the def ticks(so claiming a keep in a empty compaign is not really rewarding) within the hour are but you also have to invest more to being able to claim a keep.
    2.mechanic to help with population imbalances: If your fraction is underpopulated other players independent of fraction can join as mercenaries to help, the npcs getting empowered and a "fraction hero"(a npc as strong as sewer bosses used to be) will help to defend or take gate keeps
    3. give more objectives for smaller grps(which are also worth going for good reward(gold mats, alchemy...) and punishment if you ignore it) so ppl spread more out (e.g free the siege merchant who is captured at arrius lumber or the next keep will not have one, bring back the transit stone...) and more counter mechanics to grps that stack too much.
    Make proxi det work like mark of the worm(trap in battle ground: high damage but also damages you) but the damage you do should scale with the enemies and and the damage you and all your grp mates(should only damage grp member and not be active in pve) receive scales with the allies that are in the radius of the skill.

    Bonus point: change battle rez to battle assault: all horses run now with the max speed(60 speed+rapid m) and do not consume stamina if you are not in combat
    Ice Furnace: This item set now grants Spell Damage, rather than Weapon Damage for the 4 piece bonus

    1- make the capture scroll quest just a capture scroll quest, not a particular scroll. It's not a big deal, but really... it's just annoying.

    2- Reduce resource capture tick to 750 ap (or lower).

    3-Make API restricted server(s) that do not allow mods to be used, also... start memory scanning as well. No one wants to play with the cheats.

    Yea this would be my top priority as well. We need new keeps/mechanics to fight in/around for the AvA to remain fresh.

    Change the point scoring in Vivec (or current most popular camp) as follows,

    Outpost - 3
    Town - 4
    Keep - 5
    Own Scroll - 5

    This affects all types of players, as it moves the masses who are concerned on point scoring all over the map.

    1. Make separate CP loadouts for Cyrodiil / Non-Cyrodiil to simplfy balancing and not require respec.
    2. Make separate gear stats for same to simplify gear balancing.
    3. Make other objectives more meaningful and have more passive effects on campaigns, other than primary focus on the "Ring" of Emperorocification.

      A distant fourth and fifth (and sixth):

    4. Provide additional Battle Spirit buffs for lower population / losing alliances (or provide side objectives to help turn the tide, to an extent.)
    5. Provide some kind of scaling based on the current fight, providing a buff ("Inspired," or "enraged") for significantly outnumbered opponents
    6. Dynamic map events of some sort: Think short term mass area buffs, like Alliance wide sigils of power (beyond simple Ayleid Wells concepts)
