Here's my PSA for the PTS before losing my character copy. The new crafted set, Mechanical Acuity, has
potential to lift DPS, but the buff is fleeting and hard to put into practice.
In this test, I found that it's around 4% stronger than Hundings Rage when killing a stationary target skeleton.
Build tested:
Bosmer Stamblade with high regen / light attack build.
59 Piercing / 44 Precise Strikes / 28 Thaumaturge / 49 Mighty / 40 Master At Arms
17,800 Health / 33,400 Stamina
Dubious Camoran Throne
5 x Twice Fang Serpent, Jewelry - all weapon damage enchants, Gloves, Belt - All Stamina Enchants
2 x Kra'gh's, Light Guise, Medium Arm Cops - All Stamina Enchants
Test Option 1 - 5 x Hundings Rage set:
Heavy Chest, Medium Guards, Medium Boots - All Stamina Enchants
Infused Dagger - Poison Damage Enchant, Sharpened Dagger - Weapon Damage Enchant
Results: 39021, 39426, 39518, 40372 (I'm not a pro DPSer, OK?)
Average: 39584 dps
Hundings 39518 result
Test Option 2 - 5 x Mechanical Acuity:
Heavy Chest, Medium Guards, Medium Boots - All Stamina Enchants
Infused Axe - Poison Damage Enchant, Sharpened Mace - Weapon Damage Enchant
Results: 40921, 40998, 41095, 42186
Average: 41300 dps
Acuity 40998 result
I love the set, there's a very interesting blue appearance coupled with a hazy adrenaline type of overlay on the screen when the buff goes active. Sometimes the blue appearance doesn't show.
Otherwise the set buff is fine in my opinion, I can hurt a stationary skeleton 4% faster than I can with Hundings, but that's almost the only time I notice the extra DPS against an opponent with a large pool of health. If the timing slips out of whack - like when a boss mechanic takes place, or if a stun happens, or if the set procs before I'm ready, I get lousy DPS.
