CP Enabled BG's - Why remove the only viable version of NO-CP PVP from the game ENTIRELY?

As it stands right now on the XB NA sever, the No-cp campaigns are 100% dead. You get absolutely NO pvp in there, and spend 3/4 of your time taking resources, battling keep doors, and playing horse simulator. Why would you then go ahead and make BG's 100% CP enabled, without even providing the option to play NO-CP BG's?

Making BG's 100% cp enabled will be the nail in the coffin for the game mode as a whole. There is no reason why there cannot be an option to play either or.

    This is a bad change. Structured pvp is a competitive game mode. There's nothing competitive about predetermined results. The highest cp team should win the majority of the time. Theres nothing competitive about max cp people with hyper inflated damage, defense, and sustain stats dominating those without. This is a bad change and will effectively wall me off from playing my favorite game mode. The question is, will the tedious grind to max cp be worth it so i can play eso pvp? Nah.

    They didn't even explain why the made the change. No Dev Note or anything. I just don't get it. They made it no-CP to begin with because they knew it was the best route to take. Why change? I think it is a horrible decision on their part to add CP to BGs.

    Why change? Because they saw a lot more people prefer CP pvp and avoid battlegrounds because of that, maybe? Or a lot more people don't like having 2 builds for cp and no cp pvp if they want to play BGs but prefer CP and go to CP cyrodiil. Maybe, ZOS's numbers show that that way more people would actually play BGs (and maybe more will buy morrowind?).

    Why entirely? Because they don't want 2 different queues and maybe their numbers imply that the queues would be too long that way?

    That is a lot of maybes. That is exactly why I want to hear straight from ZOS what their reasoning was.

    It's not a big mystery why they made they change.

    If no CP-BGs was a thriving game system with huge populations, they would not have changed it. You said so yourself, on your platform the no-CP campaigns are 100% dead. Zos wants to attract a larger audience.
    Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    If their goal is to annoy as much of the player base as possible until BGs are 100% dead, this move will accomplish that - sans any real balance changes going through; not holding my breath there.

    Before Morrowind, I was an advocate for CP enabled and complainer about no cp battlegrounds. Now, I am completely opposed to CP coming to battlegrounds. I have played extensively without CP since Morrowind and found the play night and day different compared to playing with CP. every time I go to the cp campaign, I find it not fun... damage builds surviving for long stretches... healing being insane... and tank builds are are truly indestructible...

    CP enabled will just ruin the purest feeling of no cp battlegrounds.

    It's just a right amount of maybe when I'm talking about things I'm not 100% sure about.

    If a price on something increases or some restaurant removes something from a menu, sure - I am 99% sure it's because there was no demand, so I will say "maybe". Just so I have that 1% in case it happened just because the owner decided to do it for no reason.

    Same here. Those maybe aren't really maybes. Demand creates supply. No demand? No supply.

    Myself and the majority of the people I play battlegrounds with/against do it because it is the only viable source of no-cp PVP. Not for the rewards, not for the riveting objective based game modes. We play it because no-cp is true pvp without all the gimmicks & crutches provided by CP.

    Pls zos provide us the option to play either or.
