People find it very easy to be mean on the internet but I like to take a different stance on it and rather than sink to their level I like to get teach them a lesson
For example there was a guy in his 20's on Xbox Na verbally abusing, sexually harassing & being racist to a lot of other players in area chat. I messaged him and politely asked him to mind his manners....he then focused all his attention on me, fine at least people can go about their day normally. So while he was sending me crude & explicitly racist messages I did a quick search on a few eso fb groups for his gamertag. Less than a minute later, bingo. Had a look at his profile and found out where he worked, sent an email to their HR department explaining the situation. Next day I recieve a lovely email from Pamela in HR thanking me for bringing this to her attention and that the employee no longer works with them as of 2 hours of me sending the first email.
Remember folks, good manners cost nothing, bad manners might cost you your job though.

While bullying in the game should never be encouraged and anyone doing it should be told to pipe down by other players, there is a handy block function available to anyone to ignore these petty little children

It shouldnt be hard at all for Microsoft and Sony to put voice recognition in their systems. Teach the filters every toxic word known to man and then whenever a player says such things into an open Mic they get Comm Banned.

And dont you people even defend them. This behavior has been given leeway far too long. "This is just normal multiplayer gaming, suck it up" excuses are bull.

It's money that's the problem. It costs money to have roving game masters patrolling the game in response to complaints or just to generally wander up on bad behavior.
I see the same problem where my work is hard on my department and doesn't like to increase wages or benefits, causing high turnover, because we're in the tech support department that doesn't make the company actual money. They don't see the problem with support taking a backseat to sales being insane because you lose more money if you can't keep customers, especially beyond the new customer discount, than you gain from new customers.

This game definitely has not learned the lesson of the best service providers, because it is a service more than it ever was a hands off product. They need to learn support is the most important thing ever.[/quote]

ask for an intern! (free) gotta be a university/game student out there!
ask for a volunteer and limit their powers so that they can't be abused! --> like investigate these as they come in and then forward if they are serious or ignore if they are just "fluff."
