Greetings everyone,

Linchal Grand Manor is one of the most expensive home that had been sold so far. Its a limited edition, and you only have the weekend to decide if you want OR not, invest in this home.
The price is 14 000 unfurnished and 17 500 furnished. Crown only.

@Nicky_W and myself are Reviewing this new Home, and sharing our opinion, in this relaxing and short video. May you enjoy it and may this help you to take your decision. :)

Yes lovely channel, nice house one weakness you should be able to ride inside the giant garden just to get up to the house.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I like the house, but because it is limited edition and I have no Crowns and have real life bills that are a priority I won't be getting this.. Too bad ZOS. Had you not made it limited edition, I'm sure many more would have purchased it.
Far too many characters to list any more.

It's nice, but it seems small compared to other CS-exclusive homes, especially with the immense skybox Grand Topal Hideaway gets. A walled estate certainly has some unique aesthetic value, but the downside is that it also makes an area feel quite cramped. I just don't think the cost is justified for me personally. Plus I'm still struggling to find time to even decorate the ones I already have, given how much you need to invest in a single one to get it nice.

    I bought it, unfurnished, for the 14k crowns. Furnished isn't 17k, it's 17,500.

The only part of the house that came furnished was the house itself, and it was sparsely decorated with chairs, stools, bookcases, etc. It wasn't worth 3500 crowns to me.

I'd been waiting to get a nice manor for my guild, and this was perfect. We've got lots of plans for the large courtyard, and we've already made use of the space. It being a limited run is honestly a plus - I wanted something special for my friends because they mean a lot to me, and this fits.

I like the place a lot. The courtyard is huge and being able to see the whole thing from the towers in the front is nothing short of glorious.

The furnished version does add items to the courtyard. Also, wasn't either or both of the cavern and island slightly more expensive?

Furnished didn't add anything to the courtyard. I previewed both extensively to see. Unfurnished gives you all the trees and the statues and all that, all 115 things in the courtyard and around the place come with the Unfurnished house and can be moved/removed. The only things the Furnished added was some furniture in the house proper - nowhere near enough to warrant 3500 crowns though. I'm glad I skipped and got Unfurnished.

The island is still the most expensive house, it was 18k or more I believe.

Regular game development and server maintenance takes a lot of money. Buying the base game doesn't even begin to cover the true cost.

Before I begin my rant, nice video, reminds me of real estate housing videos, both in how it is filmed and the quiet, monotone voice over.

Is it nice? Yes. Is it worthy of being a notable? Not so much. The manor itself is so small as to be a guest house, and the barn fits that model.

While the interior is structurally immaculate, the builders were apparently so flagstone challenged that the outside seams would appeal to Barney Rubble. And again with the uneven ground due to bad grounds keeping. The front towers are accessible, but the rear towers are not, despite having windows that at least appear to have lighting behind them... sooooo creepy. If you haven't looked, do it before you buy, that by itself might be a deal breaker.

The only feature I found attractive is the manor terrace. I've seen those on European manors and some of the grand Rhode Island houses, going to have that added to a house when I get some time.

And to top it all off, it doesn't FEEL limited time. I am pretty sure that manor is copypasta from Hollow City.

I think at this point, the only limited housing I am interested in is a cross between the spaciousness of the Ebonheart Chateau and property of Topal. Which is what I was expecting with this property.

Edit: I made a bigger, Romanesque structure on Topal island...

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/358461/housing-the-lords-of-blackreach-crafting-pavillion-the-time-sink-of-all-time-sinks

And the videographers are also right that the property is not one where significant structural modifications would improve the property.

Its on the wrong side of kvatch for me and not close enough to writ boards or anything etc. I wanted to like it enough to buy it but those things are deal breakers coupled with a petite 700 item slots per square footage. I know they said they want to increase slots but, I am not gonna purchase it off of a maybe sometime in the future improvement type of thing so its a pass lol.

Houses in ESO are never ever worth real money, and it is just flat-out stupid to buy them with real money, no matter how nice they are... Hate me if you want to, but I do mean it. I don't mind having to grind out gold to buy a house, but I will never recommend buying a house with real money. It is purely *** to waste over 60 or even 80 dollars on something you might use very little of, especially since you can buy better things...

HOWEVER, I am discounting crowns you gain from being an ESO+ member. This is simply because your membership is something you're going to pay for anyways for the bonuses, not necessarily for the crowns... Or at least most likely (since it is stupid to buy ESO+ membership for JUST THE CROWNS and everything else is useless to you; doing such makes the crowns cost more than they should)...

If you're using ESO+ crowns on the house, then it can be worth it if you really want it and don't want to grind out the gold.

People need to stop with this poor, starving ZoS routine.

ZoS is a software company. It's the cheapest, most lucrative type of company to run, especially when you build your game on a solid franchise.

So let's do some easy, simplified math.

    "Join over 10,000,000 Players"

Let's assume this is puffery and means "join over 10,000,000 players who have purchased the game at some point," even though it was in an add specifically for Morrowind. If we assume truth in advertising the numbers just get crazy huge.

Forget playstation and xbox prices, forget early PC prices, let's just use the cheapest price I can find online for the base game on PC right now, which is $8.

The reality of it is that ESO was fully paid for a long time ago, including all prior and future costs, and all development costs for their next game.

Now add Morrowind, where they screwed over the subscribers and laughed all the way to the bank.

Add DLC costs for non-subscribers or whales like me that buy the DLCs in case my credit card is reissued at expiration, like what locked me out of IC for several days. Speaking of whales, add cash shop sales, which is a popular model now because it has proven to bring in more revenue than all other sources combined.

Now let's stop and ponder that. How can cash shops be that lucrative?

People buying the manor are paying between $63 and $126. That is one limited time offer item on the crown store.

You are not going to see any ZoS exec down at the soup kitchen anytime soon.

Is it worth it for that rich basketball player to have 10 Lamborghini's in his garage? Worth is relative to income. At some point, money becomes meaningless.

This house is a another example of the penny smart, dollar foolish business model Zos has used for quite some time.

They create a fake scarcity by only having it available for a short time. Jack the price to outrageous levels and watch the wales buy away and the white knights defend Zos's honor. Same thing they did with the Elk. Now how many people do you see riding the Elk around?

Nobody. It was over priced for the poor quality of it. Very few people bought it.

I considered it, but nah. The house is too small and, if you buy it furnished, the furniture is uninspired (if not actually boring). I love the courtyard, but that isn't worth the high price.

Yup...the original post is very good, but it's wrong about Linchal Grand Manor being the most expensive house so far. Grand Topal Hideaway was 15,000 unfurnished/18,800 furnished. (I bought Grand Topal unfurnished. No regrets--though I do wish the item limit would be raised soon.)

EDIT: Good job with the corrections, y'all!
