Its on the wrong side of kvatch for me

They need to put in a secret back entrance to Kvatch for this house...atm you have to run around the entire walled city to get inside, which is dumb.

i like it, but cant afford it, and on limited days, and i am too broke until first week of oct.
that is pure greed, GREED in bad form.
overpriced, i have the biggest house zones on other games, EQ2, got plenty of blank landscape that allow player to built from scratch and nothing into prestige player built homes, owned about 25 homes, most cost no more than 20 dollars.
i have seen other players built hedge mazes, i have one of manor made with chessboard floor theme, too many to list.

i for one, would want custom theme home. with blank landscape, plus able to expand to add extra rooms.

example, if you own an inn room, and you could pay to unlock specific room size.
And those small homes you own, could add pay option to add basements or add secret room.

secret rooms like Batman TV series, with batpole to hidden base/grotto/lab room, so instead we use portal.

so now, it is 3 days left, then gone for good? or going to new crown menu at deeper cost? 99 dollars is deep, and that almost cost of 10 seperate DCL packs or 3 mounds,

guys in suits, that is very ninched market and very poor decision for overpriced and seem that you only fishing for rich whales which is not very many who playing, are rich.
what reason for that cost? to pay the fee of house designers? 100, or 120, oe even 150 dollars? what if next day govt could shut down online games for good and we lose investments for all that for nothing, or worst, banned, was it worth the risk?

man, i could built virtual homes in hours with Neverwinter NIghts 1 and 2 series. done so many times, like Jack Kirby, the king of comicbook artist, i crank out many homes or dungeons as fast.
i have a silver award as 2nd place for best player made dungeon "Djinn's Citadel" the floating palace (eq2), and bronze house award for player home "tea house" (eq2), without advanced plug-in tools, i am simple classic designer, and those who use that tool are more advanced and more time consuming that takes multiple weeks, must have persist will to finish and i would be burnout working with one single home that takes weeks.

anyway, if that day comes, for "bargain deals" or discount days, it will be long long wait for 20 dollars deals.

yeah, i like the courtyard, but rooms in that manor doesnt seem like a manor, more like very big yard with walls.

i would assumed manor mean 10-12 rooms, but all i see 5-6 rooms, and no basement
so, i pass this up, NEXT!

    Firstly great video.

But wow, your voice is amazing, it was like watching an ASMR video.

    /fanboi

Thank you so much! We do our very best to offer content that is both informative and relaxing.

You will find real ASMR videos on my channel if you are interested in this play list: here
@Nicky_W and I also do regularly some ASMRish/Relaxation Livestream called SoftlySpokenStream. You can also see the videos on Youtube here

As for the price of the home, I agree it's very expensive, but as I said many time, I prefer Zenimax to offer cheap DLC and expensive mounts and houses, rather than expensive DLC.

i'll correct the few mistakes I did in the Top thread. Thanks for all your comments guys! really appreciate!

Nobody. It was over priced for the poor quality of it. Very few people bought it.
Don't pick on my elk; he can't help that he was born that way! I do see it around from time to time and I use it on one of my characters.

The larger point I want to make though, is releasing limited time houses seems a little different from limited time mounts. This manor really isn't different enough from the other unlimited-time gold-purchaseable manors to justify paying a large cash sum for it, in my opinion. And while I find it fun to buy different mounts for each of my characters, buying them each their own house seems unnecessarily tedious to manage.

I'm just puzzled why they would release this particular manor in this manner, but I suppose I really don't need to understand as long as others are throwing money at their screens for it.

I went to preview it thinking this would be the house I would want to pair with my other house (Domus), and then when I realized how far it was... And it's not even kind of a straight shot either.

And I'm too cheap to pay for a taxi all the time.

For the hardcore decorators: Is it annoying to you the way it is to me that there is no obvious 'master bedroom' so to speak?

I already own the other notable homes but I think I will pick this up, its a nice player home and could easily double as a guild hall or be used for RP.

Waste of money. Cosmetics shouldn't cost 4 times the purchase price of the game. Greed pure and simple

Regular game development and server maintenance takes a lot of money. Buying the base game doesn't even begin to cover the true cost.

    Forum user name checks out.

My wife likes elk, so I gifted one to her account and bought one for mine as well so we can ride elk together. All of this stuff is purely subjective.

I personally like the fact that it is a huge courtyard with a smallish house. I bought the Forsaken Stronghold previously and had more fun decorating the outside than the inside. I hit my item limit and still had lots more I *could* decorate. The layout of the Linchal seems to be better since you can spread things out more in the main area in front, and there are less nooks and crannies that you will feel obligated to decorate.

I agree that the furnishings seemed sparse for the furnished edition. I realize that part of my opinion is formed because furnishings are so much cheaper now to buy in game, but the developers/designers should take that into consideration when pricing the furnished edition. The amount of gold it would take to buy the furnishings is nothing compared to 3500 crowns.

The things I would like to see improved:

    - The towers with the "conical" roof have cemented windows. This is really off putting for me and I wish they would fix it so they have real windows.
    - We can only access 2 of many towers. It would be nice if there was at least a parapet on the inner wall to circle the whole estate that we could walk on and access the entire wall.

    Yes I wanted it.

    No I'm not buying it.

In fact, what with the recent crown price hike and £75 cost of this house I've unsubbed. They can gouge someone else.

I wanted this house and I wanted it bad.not $100 bad but still pretty bad.

I can buy the whole game and all DLC for $100 or I can buy just one house that really does nothing.

Yes lovely channel, nice house one weakness you should be able to ride inside the giant garden just to get up to the house.

It's probably the most open yard yet and it's really a poor design choice we cannot ride mounts inside any of the homes, especially this one.

I wanted it, have the cash for it, saw it......dissappointed, won't be buying it. Furnished edition is sparse and unappealing for a manor of this size, many objects are not in alignment, for example the large very shallow pool in the front. The location for me is a NO, NOT as well. I am an Imperial and would have loved a house with more pizzazz, this one doesn't make it. But thanks ZOS for the try and helping me save my crowns.

I bought this house for the yard. The clean, flat open space is very unique. For a creative builder, this house is a must.

My biggest regret was not buying the island. I had just gotten into housing and didn't realize all the things I could've done with that open space over the water.

I think some of the best gardens in the game are going to be created in this house. I bought it and have epic ideas, I'm sure others have done the same. I can't wait to see what people do with it. :)

I love the garden in theory. but between its cost and the thought of how much farming it would take to be able to furnish this much space and how many houses I'm still in progress of decorating already? and the urge to buy it - passed :P

While I do like this manor, I do have to admit that the interior could have been bigger. That, for me, has been a major issue with every manor so far with the exception of Ebonheart Chateau (which has a spacious enough interior for a manor) and Grand Topal Hideaway (which is an island, so that place is mostly about the exterior for obvious reasons).

It's why I am honestly disappointed that Sulima Mansion hasn't been copy/pasted into a manor home yet. It would blow literally every other house in the game out of the water.

I have forsaken, Hundunes Palace and the lake lodge house from morrowind, with all the large rooms I walled up to make bedrooms etc. I think the open space houses are much better when you can wall them up to make individual rooms.

This is the only house that is worth buying. All other - the failure of designers, they are ugly and uncomfortable. But the price is outrageous. Perhaps the designers deliberately made the rest of the houses so miserable that now they have good sales of the only beautiful estate?
And about the island - I would have bought it, if there could have been fishing. What could be better than fishing on your own tropical island? But now it's just another miserable hut (ok, 3 huts and bridges between them)

Another limited time housing that looked good in the screenshots/photos, but had uninspired and poor actual presentation. I really wanted to like this, but for the price and the small house, unavailable access to other parts of the towers, and the furnished version is sooooo bleh! This manor isn't worth 2000 crowns let alone the minimum of 14k

    No, for me.

    1. Price - for a copy/paste home from Coldharbour the price is too high. The design of the courtyard and the guard towers doesn't imo justify this price.
    2. I agree with Elloa, the imperial theme is too... present, it would be too difficult for me to make it my own.
    3. Item limit for large homes is too constrictive.

It's nice, but this style of house does not particularly tempt me, not enough to pay that much for it. Now, if the reflecting pool was full of the waterlilies we keep seeing in ponds on the Gold Coast... ;)

Actually the barn is a big turn-off, too. It's labeled "barn" and then it has stairs. Horses can be trained to do stairs but why do that when ramps are pretty standard everywhere else in Tamriel? Nitpicky, I know, but when large moneys are involved I get very nitpicky.
