OP so you know any mounts, pets or cosmetics purchased through the crown store are available on all your characters on your current platform/server.

Yes, but what about all of the stuff that I purchased from the store that is in my bag. I hate to lose it because some it is very important for leveling up and staying relatively alive.....

Off you go to a bank, deposit it there and retrieve it with another character. Other than level restrictions everything should be usable on any of your characters.

How do balance both magicka and stamina together?

Unfortunately, you don't.While you can have a Hybrid, and under certain conditions make it work, your just making things harder on yourself. We used to have Hybrids, but Patch 1.6 which removed Caps killed Hybrids for most of this game.

Now, if you like using a Bow, then go with a Stamina Sorcerer. You can do that on your Breton, but a Redgaurd or Orc or Khajiit might be better. However a Staff can be a good ranged weapon too. Staves are a Magic Weapon.

As for swapping bars, lots of people do this and it works well for them. Me, I have an AoE Bar and a Single Target/Boss Bar. I use a different motif on each staff so I can see at a glance what bar I am on.

The main two differences between Crown Store Consumables and Crafted are Scaling and Amplitude or amount of effect.

Crown Store Items are less powerful than anything you craft by a large margin. But, Crown store items can be used on any level of character and will scale up to an extent. Crafted items do scale also, but within a window of levels.

Soul Gems, those are something I never have to worry about, I have almost 3000 filled ones across all my characters. It seems that I get one from every mob I kill. By filled, I mean I get them filled.

Put those items in your personal bank, it is shared between all your characters.

Every major city in the game has a bank where you can access your bank inventory.

Thanks everyone for your support. I managed to make things work as best I could. To be honest, I was looking for an excuse to start a new character. I wanted to do the Min quest, but I started it too early and I had done some things wrong with developing my Breton (Magicka) Sorceress. I received a lot of help but it was all still a little confusing for my feeble senior brain to really make sense of.

Besides, even when I am playing a new single player game I tend to do that exact thing. I get so far into the game and realize that I didn't do something right; or, that I should have done this or that; and so, I start the game over again. Like right now I have papers all over my computer desk regarding ESO. Sadly, however, while I have some things written down and taped to the desk in front of me, I get so involved in the game I still forget....I still forget to look at my notes. That being said, I tend to blame it all on my regression. After all, I am seventy years old.

Besides, again, it was also an excuse to do Vvardenfell all over again. My two favorite NPCs are Veya and Naryu Virian, the Morag Tong assassin. I love the interaction with those two and Naryu's flirtiness.

Again, I sincerely appreciate everyone's input thank you.

One thing to remember, other than Class, you can change anything about your character.

    For Ingame Gold:
    Attributes
    Skills or just Morphs

    For Crowns
    Race
    Appearence
    Name
Skills (can't do just Morphs from what I can tell
    Attributes

Anyway, 99% of the things you would want to change can be done with Gold.

Also, an otherwise developed character is good for turning into a crafting alt, as you have the skill points to use.

There's been some good advice here.
You can get through the Mannimarco quest just by standing close to him. The instant death circle/wall is very close so just stay near.
Do not give up. I'm nearly your age - 67 - and I find some classes easier to play than others, but all are possible.
You need to learn your class. I would suggest with any character stay in the starting island for a while; or stay in Wailing Prison for a while - say level 20. Learn your skills. Learn to swop bars. Take your time and have fun.
Generally there are three skills to use in rotation - BUFF (yourself like a shield) - DE-BUFF (apply a spell to increase your damage or reduce your foes damage) - and ATTACK ( can be heavy from a staff/bow or better from your class skills). When you see you are running out of magica or stamina pop a few heavy attacks or potion to restore and go back to your rotation.
Some young players are amazing - their fingers must fly across their keyboards - and I know that I'm not in that class/age, but even us oldies can complete all content. I'm just rather slower.
Others may disagree but I find Templar very easy to learn and control. Try Magica Templar (MagPlar). Best race Altmer with all attributes in magica. Not the best class for damage or tanking, good for healing, a very flexible class.
Please contact me in game if you wish. I'm on EU and NA servers most days.
And - most importantly HAVE FUN.

No problem. I wish I could change it, but there doesn't seem to be away to do it. I have looked in accounts but could nothing.

I don't know if you beta tested it, but I did. It was even back then. (I haven't played since I beta tested it, so it is kind of all new to me.) But, it is all about the money and attracting new players. I like the game, but then I am a fan of Elder Scrolls and Bethesda in particular. I am also a fan of the Fallout series.

You submit a request, with a reason, to customer support. I had to do it to have mine changed from my login name to my character name.

As far as the quest you were stuck on...I wish I could offer advice, but I can't even really figure out where you are stuck, but I've pretty much walked every character/alt through the main quests with the most challenge being waiting for the cutscenes to finish.

If you try everyone's advice and you find that you're actually bugged in some way consider contacting CS. At the point where you're actually bug-stuck and can't proceed I don't see why they can't help you out or at least should be made aware. (I know that's a bit optimistic but it doesn't hurt.)

Put all that stuff in the bank, if you do make a new character. Bank is open for all account characters.
