and there I was using balista because the other morph of bow ultimate was too fiddly for my mediocre skills to pull off completely and I wanted at least one longer range ultimate....

doesn't it have a range limit? yes. yes it does. roll out of its range? block?

This is so far from a chesse ultimate. I'll take Ballista over the destro ult + immovable pot + gap close combination ALL DAY EVERY DAY.

I guess the best advice is to prepare for it and have a plan if possible. I don't think it is out of line because as others have said, there are counters.

I'm sure it is gaining popularity though, probably a new build like you assumed.

Ignore the negativity. ESO has a better community than most but it is the internet.

Wow, I was about to make thread about the extreme overrating of bow ulti and underrating of dual wield ulti.

But fighters guild ulti still rules all.

Bow ulti isn't even good for burning block endurance. I hate to add to the bro chorus but bow ulti is only good for burning players that can't manage resources. Like gankers.

I'd been doing that from the get go. And no for me it's not the new Ganker weapon, it's the Anti-Ganker weapon. That Ultimate has saved my butt so many times now. It's like if you get blindsided by a *** and you shoot Pepper Spray in their face. So funny when they suddenly have no idea what to do.

Exactly! I was ready to be impressed by someone who managed to gank using a big ol' machine and a slow-arriving aoe. Though I would have accepted BadLuckCharm's version as well.

I would happily pay a crafting-based reward for anyone who makes and posts a video of a legit siege gank. (PC-NA if you want a reward, yadda yadda.)

You are kidding right? HEAVEN forbid archers have a heavy hitting ability which doesnt get a huge WARNING sign displayed for their opponent with miats, or just having a heavy hitting attack in GENERAL. Good lord the hate toward archery since the launch of this game is just stupid. Do you realize how long it takes to get that ultimate for the average person? All the rest of the class ultimates you get before 10.

Ill take non cookie cutter archery builds all ove the place, rather than the overused 1hs / 2 handed stam build which has been used by EVERYONE since the dawn of ESO.

Well your reply is indeed funny but think balista build in IC.

Baltista, poison injection, ambush and then what?

You are dead! unless you are still on tank build!

Balista build is mostly used by gankers in IC! Killing few daedra will pump u ultimate!

It does not work well in cyrodiil!

Ballista + Fear was a pretty decent "oh ***" button ever since weapon ults were released with One Tamriel. Nothing cheesy about it to be fair.
