Actually getting players shut out from something isnt always bad, not everyone should be able to complete vetTrials since they are a sign of skill and understanding the mechanics ect.
might be a bit harsh to say, but BIS gear is nice to have, but has no impact if you cannot play your class on a very high skilllevel.
So maybe 70% of all players dont even need them, since it makes no difference if you have for example a Precise Weapon or a NIrnhoned one, for players who arent in the top tier. The Dmg loss / gain is probably not worth it for them to get a retrait.

ESO is a PVE game with a PVP add on. If you don't want to run the dungeons, you won't get the transmute items.
This game was not developed for the PVP minority it was developed for the PVE majority.
They should not be purchasable by any means, writs, AP or gold.
In order to have a minimal impact on the economy they should BoP as are the weapons and armor in these dungeons and trials. Weapons and armor can only be traded with people on the run within a given time frame.
Should these transmute items be trade-able?
If they were what impact would that have on economy?
Without PvP the game would have nothing to do but fight mindless robots.
I am pleased to see that the devs are dropping the stones in PvP.
Fighting "mindless robots" is how gaming started.
Where was it stated that they will be dropping in PVP, if they do drop it will be off of "mindless robots." I don't care where they drop i just don't believe they should be purchasable.

Try looking a few posts up. Rich on twitter. smh
Rewards of the worthy, and campaign end rewards.

Maybe buy for 1 million AP once a week?(AS SUGGESTED BY COMMENTS BELOW, END OF CAMPAIGN REWARDS IS A BETTER IDEA IMO) IDK, i'm not into going back to do more PVE. Yes i know thats my problem!
With Rich response in mind I'd say that the crystals are either a rather rare drop (1/5 chance per dungeon) and tradeable or straight up bop. I'm inclined to think it's the first oneAnyone know if these transmutation stones will be BoP or not???
Personally I hope they´re BoP, and I also hope that the weapon/gear you decide to re-trait will become BoP (In order to affect the market as little as possible)
Obviously I meant "best by AP", not "best by skill level". I thought that was clear in the context. Of course the players at the top of the leaderboards are not always the "best" players. Though I would contest your assessment that zerging yields more AP than a good coordinated small scale group makes. I never heard Zerg Squad complaining for example. Right @MLRPZ ?
That has been confirmed against ToS now though, so if people have evidence it can be submitted and bans handed out.Takes-No-Prisoner wrote: »End of campaign rewards with more for each placement in the leaderboard tiers could be something to help push people to compete for the top on single characters again.Takes-No-Prisoner wrote: »As some one who PvPs I mostly agree. However, getting transmutation crystals via rewards of the worthy, end of campaign rewards would be a nice gesture.
If you keep it to only the gold/purple tier it also means more work for people who want to get them on every alt.
Yup! I was thinking the same thing. More crystals to the guy who gets the better ranking slot. Though, we need to not forget about people who boost using friends on other alliance colors. This is still a problem-- least on PS4 NA. It's really easy to abuse that.
Transmutation requires Transmute Crystals, precious resources occasionally received for successfully completing Veteran PvE activities such as Pledges, Trials, and Arenas, and several PvP sources such as Rewards for the Worthy, Battleground end of match rewards, and AvA end of campaign rewards. Transmute Crystals are an account wide, capped currency which cannot be banked or traded.
