Character creation is missing something in my opinion. It's not easy to create a nice character or make a new one who like to another character already created for example and use it for starting.

My suggestions are :

- Add a code representative of your character appearance. (you can share the code it if you want)

- Add an history when we use a token appearance change (if the change is not appreciated you can remove it easily)
-
- Or add an option for save our appearance character instead like a list. (or both, the code if we want to share the character appearance with friends and community and the list for ourselves)

- Add various backgrounds and lighting (when we create a new character, but also when using a token race or apperance change), because sometimes our character look like really different in some environments.

And I had another idea, but not sure about this one because it require a purchace in crown store.

- Add in character creation options the possibility to use the new haircuts, tatoos only if we bought them in crown store. (otherwise they remain invisible and we get only the normal options) It give a real preview about what your character will look like finally.

My apologies if my ideas are unclear or redundant, It's not always easy to say them with words.

These are really nice ideas and I would love to see them added, you get an awesome from me.

If I can be cheeky and add something as well it would be having a better/clearer way to hear the voice of your character as the current sounds can be hard to get right.

Saving character creation profiles has been requested before but no feedback yet. Other things would help too, such as actually having descriptions of each Alliance as it's a permanent decision.

How about giving sliders an actual number value... whenever I create a template for a character design, I have to count the number of slider spaces which is a pain.

Further, if people haven't noticed, they cleaned up the interface for the 'face' creator screen but the 'body' screen still has the old style. Each slider option in the face screen the lines are now all solid, whereas on the body screen, the lines are still jagged. I discovered this the other day because in the past, I could take a screenshot of the sliders and could judge slider position based upon the broken lines in the slider surrounds... but this time the sliders for the face were solid lines, so my old templates will not work- which is when I had to resort to counting the number of slider spaces.

I'd love to see a way to save my character models and then use them as the base model for when I make new characters.

And I'd love to have a way to share them without having to post pictures of every slider.

    +1 agree from me

I would want not only backgrounds and lighting, but also an option to play different animations... see how our character looks while running for example...

And numbers for every slider, so we can at least note down our character appearance values on a piece of paper, and recreate appearance if we so desire. (Or swap for those who have a friend/sibling/mate who wants to roleplay as our "twin"...)
A code or character design saves would of course be easier I suppose...

And -definitely- include crown store stuff! Maybe expand the slider with all the crown store choices, or something...

One more thing I'd love to see - "structural unlocks" in the crown store, that allow some sliders to exceed the current limits. To make "giantborn" nords or "fat friar" imperials, or "bosmer-petite" dunmer, or "bodybuilder hulk" orcs, or "Cyrano-de-Bergerac-nosed" altmer, or "dwarfism" bretons who drink wine and know things, or "massive melons" females (for those who like that kind of back pains)

And also, cross-species color unlocks. So you could make a black-haired altmer for example (there are some in the game, but... chargen does not allow it at this time as I recall)

yes, first of all: allow us to preview the created character in real environment(s) with different light intensity, as the result many times looks totally different in real game, than in the creation screen

The voice samples are tragic. That really would need to be adjusted, a lot of screams and laughs utmost irritating that do not reflect at all what your voice will be in game, many shouts are so rare or only used by npcs with that voice type.
They should only put the most common skills shouts, falling shouts and the ones used for the mount incitement (or whatever the word in English is), I find it just terrible as it is now to chose the voice.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one desiring this:
Suggestion: Add text boxes in the character screen next to each customization option that displays a numerical value of the sliders position.

Purpose: To be able to save or write down that numerical value of a specific setting so it can be easily found with a new character. For cosmetics this is not so necessary, so the primary purpose is for the slight adjustments on the body shape itself.

A while back I created a character that turned out absolutely flawless. I tried to recreate him as a base of a new character. But each time the new character came out slightly flawed. Without animations in the character creation screen, the only way to be certain of your character is to play it.

If anyone knows of a Mod that does this, please let me know. I have been unsuccessful in my searches thus far.

I think this will be much appreciated for those of us who have a lot of characters. Especially for those of us who play PVP BWB Campaign where we create new character often.

My Thread had a response that suggested the save option, which I desire very much.

A function like this is one of the many things that should have been in the game from the start.

If ZoS had a shred of intelligence and did add this function, I would actually purchase some change appearance tokens to adjust some of my characters. Of course, those characters that existed before change appearance tokens were added should get a complimentary adjustment...

Having the ability to get a code for a specific character creation settings is a good idea though could take considerable effort to implement since the system to create the code would need to be designed and built.

For the next two idea, the first one seems better. Again, a method to save the settings would probably require more than a little effort, The larger issue is where is this information saves. Certainly not on Zos's servers since it would really add up leaving it to be saved locally. Locally would be the better idea and leave the responsibly of keeping it on the players side. Computer crash or data gets corrupted then it is the players problem.

What I have done is taken SS of settings for the characters I changed the appearance for. I can return them back to their original look if desired.

"...considerable effort to implement..." The code for an appearance character, the one the op is asking for, already exist for each and every character that has been created and is still saved. It is loaded every time I log into the game and bring up the character selection - not only that, the data codes for the appearance of each of seven pieces of armor I'm wearing is also brought, or the data code for the costume/disguise I'm wearing, plus the weapons I have equipped. And so much more.

This data is all working in the background, and requesting a code is requesting for the data that is saved on our characters already to be revealed and made available so we can manually copy and paste it ourselves into a fresh character creation menu.

To save this data code as a template would require no more than creating a single icon on the character creation menu, and a menu to pop up allowing a player to select which of their existing characters they'd like to copy and paste the data code onto the active character creation menu.

Use tools that already exist, rather than go out of the way to create new tools to recreate something that's already in the coding. The most difficult part of adding either suggestion is the art work, and making an icon and menu look natural in the existing UI. And that'd take maybe... two hours of labor?

    Yes, please.

I have actually deleted characters because I couldn't stand their voice set. If I could hear something besides laughing and various kinds of shrieking before I have to choose one, that would be great.

I'd just like them to make it so you don't get kicked out for taking too long - sometimes it can take time to get a desirable name. Had it happen to me 3 times getting booted after I had the character created and was just trying to get a name done.

We really need a way to save face templates in the game, so when we make a nice-looking face, we can save it in case we have to delete the character and start over. There have actually been times where I made a gorgeous character, then changed my mind about what class I wanted her to be. Since there's no class change, I have to start over.

We also need to be able to edit our character's looks within the first day of playing it. I'm not saying to make editing their appearance permanent, but at least give players a 24-hour period after we first make the characters where we can edit their looks, because once you're in the game you might change your mind about some detail of their appearance.

I don't think I ever had that problem, but that would be extremely annoying.
