In order to Transmute an item, you must locate a Transmutation station and have the item trait researched in your crafting Skill Line. This means if you'd like to add the Sharpened trait to your dagger, you must first ensure you have the ability to craft daggers with that trait. You'll be able to find a Transmutation station in the heart of the Brass Fortress within the Clockwork City or acquire one for your home from a certain Master Writ merchant.
In addition to the crafting skill requirement, Transmutation requires a special new resource called Transmutation Crystals that you'll need to collect and save. You'll be able to earn Transmutation Crystals by completing veteran level content (such as Veteran Mode Dungeons or Trials).
Maelstrom and trial stuff to i hope

When they said they are going to implement a transmutation system I thought of a system that allows you to change your gears' appearance. I like the item retraiting but I'm disappointed anyway.

Hmm, good question...have you considered using the gear? For Vet Trials or PvP or whatever your usual endgame preference is? ()

@puffytheslayer Yes I tried that once too. The sneaking mechanic does NOT work in real life, so the potential to agro the wrong mobs is very high.

Future jewelry crafting confirmed?

Still have to grind to get myself a destro staff. I keep receiving multiples of every weapon and have never received a single destro staff of any element.

Mindlessly grind veteran content to get the crazy number of stones at a low drop chance this will probably take.puffytheslayer wrote: »Taleof2Cities wrote: »On a serious note, this does appear to be the end of the vMA grind for most players does it not?

I want to believe... but at the same time I can't imagine this will be a "can do four dungeons and change a Maelstrom weapon" system.
