    I've got a whopping number of divines and infused Kena and Shadowrend helms and shoulders sitting in my bank and inventory for all sorts of specs, so it's nice that I can get rid of a few of them...

    ...but I wont, not until the whole system is established and the method is more clear, because if the process costs tens of thousands per piece then I'll keep my varied supply of diverse gear.

    In order to Transmute an item, you must locate a Transmutation station and have the item trait researched in your crafting Skill Line. This means if you'd like to add the Sharpened trait to your dagger, you must first ensure you have the ability to craft daggers with that trait. You'll be able to find a Transmutation station in the heart of the Brass Fortress within the Clockwork City or acquire one for your home from a certain Master Writ merchant.

    In addition to the crafting skill requirement, Transmutation requires a special new resource called Transmutation Crystals that you'll need to collect and save. You'll be able to earn Transmutation Crystals by completing veteran level content (such as Veteran Mode Dungeons or Trials).

    Seems pretty clear of how to get it.

    When they said they are going to implement a transmutation system I thought of a system that allows you to change your gears' appearance. I like the item retraiting but I'm disappointed anyway.
    Pugging. Pugging all the way to victory.
    Imperial Dragonknight --- male, stamina, heavy & medium armor, dual wield, one hand and shield, two handed.
    Breton Templar --- female, magicka, light armor, restoration staff.
    Redguard Warden --- female, stamina, medium armor, bow.
    Breton Sorcerer --- male, magicka, light armor, destruction staff.
    Imperial Templar --- male, stamina, medium armor, two handed.
    Daggerfall Covenant loyalist

    Doesn't specify how many crystals you'll need to retrait (different depending on armor piece? Armor vs weapon? One hander or 2?), whether we'll also need the trait stone we want to convert it to, or how frequently the crystals will drop.

    The "where" and big picture of the how are out. The nitty-gritty details are still to be released.

    Hmm, good question...have you considered using the gear? For Vet Trials or PvP or whatever your usual endgame preference is? ( ;) )

    That's still in the works (confirmed by ZOS). I'm guessing it is getting released with the Q1 DLC next year, or the next chapter.

    OMG i totally forgot that i only started running vma to get weapns for pvp & then found myself falling in love with trials...... thnx 4 the reminder!

    You'll still need to run it a few times for the weapon (maybe 10-20 times), but that's it thankfully. I've heard of folks running vMA over 1000 times and still not getting the weapon they need. If they haven't given up on the game yet, they must be rejoicing.

    Some info I have gathered.

    Rich said at a stream at PAX West that the Asylum weapons (the new ones dropping at the new Tral) will be similar to vMA and vDSA ones and that you will get a Polymorph by completing the new Trial in HM which will not always drop.

    Haven't seen these info around the forums so though I should share them. :)

    @puffytheslayer Yes I tried that once too. The sneaking mechanic does NOT work in real life, so the potential to agro the wrong mobs is very high.

    I haven't run a crazy amount of times like others..m probably only 20.. but I'm still without any inferno.

    We will do less grinding but there will still be some.

    I also miss some weapons from vma

    And weekly leaderboards are still nice

    Mindlessly grind veteran content to get the crazy number of stones at a low drop chance this will probably take.

    I want to believe... but at the same time I can't imagine this will be a "can do four dungeons and change a Maelstrom weapon" system.

    A token system would have been so much easier to implement & not lose out on players doing the same content "a few" times, instead of thousands, and could still get their gear. But, I won't look a gift horse in the mouth & am rejoicing I can finally obtain my sharpened inferno scathing mage staff!
