Here's an idea,
Do you think ZOS should create an option for players to betray / leave their own faction and join some kind of Exiled faction that has no interest in taking keeps nor cyrodill objectives?
All those who betrayed will be joined forces and create a new faction, and cannot be reverted.


EDIT:
My point is related to this,
There is a fair amount of players that dont really give a sh** about taking keeps.
We just want to find some good Small scale / Solo, but the state of the map sometimes prevent us from doing so - (NightCaps, Faction hold most of the keeps etc)..
Kinda tired of running around for 20 minutes searching fights that ends after 2-3 minutes.
ZOS need to kill this OFF-Time .

Stuff we would like to see -
1. Bounty System - The more u kill from the 3 factions the more bounty on u, Killing you will give the player X amount of Gold / AP, Set byLadder system "Most Wanted Player" or w/e.
2. Hideouts - Fast transportation, network of caves to fast travel the hot spots in Cyro and that way we wont need to spend time searching for fights.
3. Group Size - Limit the group size of this Exiled Faction, to maximum 6-8 players.(Cyro only ofc)
4. Color - Different color from the 3 factions, Just so we can take a resource but not keeps.
5. Skill Required - Limit the amount of pepole that can choose this option, By X amount of players kills(I would say alliance rank but we all know its bullsht)
6. Escort Missions(?) - Pugs can hire you to carry em in the battle field.
7. Obtain By a quest - Add a skill line that the final mission is to assasinate ur Queen / King of ur faction to prove ur worth.
8. Emperor - Highest player in the bounty rank will get slightly buff to stand in line with Emperor buff other factions has, Since we're not gonna zerg anyone XD


Issues-
1. Imperial City - Implenting this into IC map / sewers, would affect ic objectives aswell. (Flags, Tel var buffs etc)
2. Quest Lines - Each faction has individual quest line - My suggestion for this is to let the players to choose Exiled Faction option only after reaching certain lvl and finishing the main quests.
(Leaving ur faction will only affect Cyro, Maybe that can solve the issue of the imperial city

At the bottom line, This will divide the casuals who zerg non-stop, and the skilled small scale players seeking for fights.

OFC you can add more ideas for it, but thats it for now.

    I feel the biggest hindrance for new toons in cyrodiil is not the level, but the nonexistent horse training. Unless you want to shovel cash at ZOS, you are looking at half a year to max it.

    I don't want to leave my faction, but I would definitely kill an ally when they set up fire ballistas in the only good spot for oil pots at a front door that's being rammed down.

    I honestly think that this will a really nice change,
    Maybe even make the faction base's as hideouts only available to them, that will be located in many random location in cyro map.. Might even kill the lag and spread the fights abit - and maybe we could see the whole beautiful part of the map created by zos, Locations that u will never go unless u questing o.O

    I think a pirate faction is a great idea.

    I loved it when I played ArcheAge and started killing my own "friends", kill their cows and harvest their crops. I went to jail once for 24 hours real time (and I had to be online for the timer to go down). I escaped but was KOS everywhere.
    So I sailed to the pirate island. It was nice to see it as a separate faction where people from both main factions where in. We sailed and raided many traders on sea.

    But I do think as a "traitor" faction we should have our own outpost in cyrodill.

    Ya, they could implant outpots over the dead areas to spread the fights, reduce the lag and actually make the empty areas viable.

    How exactly would that work then? Where is our base when we enter Cyrodiil? When we enter IC? With the obligatory traders, bankers, Tel Var merchants, the Golden? It sounds like quite a lot of work for ZOS.

    Would this be another faction, or could we turn on ourselves as well? Would we form groups? Maybe we would only not damage ourselves, if we were grouped or at a base?

    The only way you'd find fights without riding would be if there were outlaw dens strewn around Cyrodiil that we could always fast travel between, without having to work towards owning them.

    I might love it, but then I loved IC when there were no objectives there. Forums and YouTubers alike kept crying that IC was a failure, deserted due to lack of objectives. I've always resented that, although I neither like, nor dislike the changes they made to IC. Except for the fact that the sewers are completely barren now. Hardly anyone goes there anymore, so I guess ZOS will chalk that up to not having put any objectives there.

    Would we earn alliance points? Could you call them alliance points?

    Becoming factionless is actually my #1 wish for eso pvp. Bounty hunting would be awesome too, same as incentives to spread the fight on the map better.

    But only when we have a possibilty to attack each other too B)

    I just gave an awsome idea, im not getting paid to think of how to solve the problems you were pointing, it's someone's else job i guess.

    I'd exclusively play on a factionless instance of Cyrodiil or Imperial City, just limit group size to 8 or less (whatever number makes sense for the content).

    OP suggests a factionless system, however he describes creating a fourth faction to make this happen. In other words it's not factionless he wants but t a faction of betrayers or whatever.

    Cyrodiil was designed for 3 factions and setup so players who could care less about taking keeps ans such can still participate. As for the OPs suggestion, he really hasn't provided any reason to make it happen outside he isn't interested in taking keeps and wants to kill those in his faction, which of course would probably still be the case if he see in this fourth faction so nothing really gained.

    I still believe that the Battle grounds that were implemented in DAOC would fit the bill for most people looking for smaller scale PVP. These instances still allowed the full use of all things in PVP but was a drastic cut down in the amount of people on each of the 3 alliances.

    Some of my best PVP experience were in these battle grounds while playing DAOC. I think that the ESO version is a good start, but I feel they did not go all the way in giving the community exactly what was being asked for at least in these forums.


    Also the scale of the map was much smaller.

    I didn't throw my comments out there to dissuade. I quite like the idea. I was genuinely curious how you'd see it working. What would make this different and not turn it into merely a fourth faction, as idk says? Now I know there's nothing really behind your "idea".
