Returning player question

I returned to ESO after 1 year absence and i found myself in Morrowind not in Coldharbour as starting area. Then i looked some other posts about that and i found that now this is the new starting area but you can actualy do the Wailing Prison again by going to starting faction zone capital and looking for Hooded figure. All of that is nice but how do i reach zone capital from Seyda Neen? I found some navigator guy but he only takes me to starting islands of factions after Wailing Prison? I am confused and any help would be welcomed. Thx in advance.

This was a really odd change in the Morrowind release. I have no idea why they did this...it confuses people a lot.

If you want to follow their game "road map," the idea now with the main story is that the character goes to the starter island, plays those quests, then travels to the zone one city and is met by a hooded figure that leads into the main vestige story.

You can play in whatever order you like, includimg skipping the starter islands. To go straight to Soul Shriven in coldharbour, a player would travel from Morrowind to the starter island for your faction via the Navigator NPC at the docks. From there, you'll be standing close to another NPC who will take you to Zone 1, where you will meet the hooded figure.

Actually there's a navigator closer to Vivec City that takes you to the capitals. You'll run into the hooded figure regardless what zone you enter from morrowind and trigger the wailing prison quest, which then takes you to the starter zone for your characters alliance following it. So the new order would be:

Morrowind, literally anywhere from there, wailing prison, original starter zone. The navigator you ran into that takes you to the starter zones directly is near Seyda Neen, the other is near the stables before entering the crafting area in Vivec City.

You can find these Navigators on your map by looking for the common Anchor icons or the Wagon icons if it's not a port city.

Also, note that not all Navigators are an NPC. There are a few ships that you just click on the ship's wheel or a smaller boat itself.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Highly recommend that you start off in pre-Morrowind islands. Quests require much less walking so you'll level faster.
