The non-toxic side of ESO

I did my very first eso dungeon today. the GF was taking too long so I went and stood outside Fungal Grotto. Got into a PUG. I think a couple of them were CP 600 or so and one was CP 200 and something. Before entering, I told them my status and they said ok. Then, got a popup on screen and they had said they wanted to do FGII so I probably should have bowed out, being my first dgn, but I didn't. I also should have watched Youtube beforehand so that I understood what was going to happen. Anyway, we all died several times, me most of all and I got chained to the floor a few times too. I felt it was really hard. One of them made a comment about can't do this with THIS dps and I apologized. I was just constantly getting swarmed and was trying my hardest to stay alive, just couldn't. We never got past the *** that chains you to the floor. They said, sorry this isn't going to work, so we disbanded. For me, this was a horrible, horrible experience. I'm sure my blood pressure was way too high lol. Not sure when I'll try it again. Seriously taking stock of my build/states/gear, etc. Anyway, the good side of it was, how exceptionally patient these people were. I'm sure they must have rolled their eyes at me like 100 times, but they were just so nice and trying to explain things to me. I was already feeling sweaty and humiliated/embarrased and if they had said anything nasty, I probably wld have cried irl. (I know, its just a game, need to go take a walk or something). But, please know, that some people might call me noob, idiot, whatever, but when people are nice and patient and helpful, it really does count for a lot.

Hey maybe you did the veteran version?
If so I recommend going in on normal, plus you still get 1 undaunted key on normal.

Normal dungeons are easy as pie, just que up and pick your role and this way you'll get practice in without the hassle of vets.

Only a very very small minority of Pugs will kick/struggle on normal dungeons.

Ps. If ever you really want to do Vet dungeons for monster helm/2 keys.... I highly recommend doing it with people from area chat or a guild, the vet pug experience Is not fun usually.

Great job! Please keep this attitude and I hope this becomes an epidemic in a good way.
I also see a lot of new players in the starter zones thanking people for horse, items, gear etc... feels nice to read

I was leaving Vivec on my newly created stam Warden; when some guy like CP 150 or so invited me to duel. I accepted and just let him wipe me. He tried to trade me some mats, ambrosia potions, soul gems, and repair kits. In the trade window I offered 1 million gold. He promptly declined the trade, and whispered in disbelief. He thought I was brand new. He was standing there handing out xp pots and soul gems to the new players. Thought that was kind of cool of him.

Cute stories, I wish I could give away those empty soul gems or recipes... Or gold gear I will never use again. Nobody ever takes the recipes :*

This one has met toxic adventurers, maybe 2 or 3 times in all that much time in Tamriel. But usually this one meets nice men and mer. So no problem with this.

On the first three days of Morrowind release, knowing that there'd be possibly a number of new people in-game I was hoping to help make them feel welcome and encourage a better community kind of growth so as to hopefully sway the tide of horribleness away a bit.
So I stood at Seyda Neen where they'd get off the docks & kept asking in /say or /zone "who here is new to game?" & anyone that replied I sent 5 blue motifs & 5K gold and a note to feel free to ask about any advice to help get them started.
Sent a total of well over 800 messages...
Was totally worth it for some of the replies I got.

I reckon i always said PVP is the most toxic side of the game, but thats not actually true. I agree with someone up there that said that the forums are...

I had a long long fight a few days ago... my magicka sorc vs a very tanky DK, after about... 15 minutes chasing each other around a tower, up and down... the guy finished me up and i got the precious teabag price after it xD I whispered the guy 'good fight man'...
His rank was pretty high, and after talking for a while he gave me the best advice pvp-wise anyone ever gave to me. I tried asking for advice a few times here in these forums, and what i got was mostly stupid answers and trolling.

So yeah, the forums are just a ugly side of what you can find in-game, of course there are awesome people here with good advice, and trolls in game too. But the in-game experience has always been better to me, specially in pvp i have to say.

    Cheers!
