How are the HotR dungeons compared to SotH? (Vet)

    The real issue with vFH is the lack of clarity and the tiny tiny combat space for the last boss. I also still have no clue what the shield is about. Do I dps through it? Wait til all the adds die first? Why do his attack patterns change completely at 25%? We just don't know

    I am surving the hit using emprowered ward so maybe look at CP allocation. You can always avoid that hit if you see it coming behind the pillar.

The thing which makes these new dungeons difficult for PUG groups is that they can't be carried by a one good dd much, everybody needs to do at least decent job and with PUG groups you know they are mostly first timers.

    Youre not that jerk tank I met in a pug for falkreath today, who said we all sucked and withheld gear just to be a jerk are you? He also boasted 5 clears.

    No absolutely not me :) And make it 6 vFH clears now. This one was so easy though. Group of first timers. Our original healer dropped at the last boss (max cp player) and we got 97cp healer and cleared after one wipe with ease. So I don't know might be just that I had not so good puggers in group in my earlier runs.

    Well, I have to admit that I kinda soloed the mammoth boss a bit and shot the last boss at the last second when he was trying to do his shout while others were dead already but it was pretty effortless group work nonetheless. And other dd had to rez the low cp healer most of the fight.

The only issue I have with this dungeon at all, and seems to kill almost every group is that last 20% of health on the final boss.

    I hate to be one of those guys who cries nerf... but I'm calling for a nerf on that 20% hp shield. I've been in too many good groups, that can't seem to dps through it before getting overun by adds. Somethings a little too slanted in this fight, cause its not even just a pug killer. We even ran discord for this fight. IDK man, how some ppl talk about how easy it is and I just don't get it.

    I agree. The last 20% is very unforgiving. With everything that they are throwing at you that 20% hp shield is a bit much.

    From my experience it's really critical what the tank does at that last boss 20% health. He needs to have range taunt slotted and keep taunt on that boss all the time or the boss will start sniping the other group member's behind the mobs which obviously causes a wipe most of the time. The second thing what good tank can do is to taunt most of the adds to let dds do their job and dps the boss down quick. I don't think that last 20% needs even that much dps probably one good dd can do that if can just dps the boss and not get bothered other things like boss's aggro and mobs.

    For dd (and maybe for tank's range taunt) I would recommend to use tab targeting on the boss (aim boss and press tab to make it permanently focused) to be able to nuke him down quick. This way you can dps the boss even if the mobs get on the way which they tend to do. Hope this helps.

    Tank held the adds while do worked on the shield. Have ultimates ready by 20%. Make sure to build these up while boss throwing his tantrum and you are just weaving behind pillars. Tank/healer should mirgation ablity or warhorn.

    Here's a tip...if you about die place dots on boss.

    New dungeons are pretty fun. Tough if you don't know the mechanics.

    It will definitely keep the pugs out till it's inevitably nerfed a few times.

    The problem is that if you are trying to run random veteran dungeons with the group finder you keep getting HoTR dungeons over and over again even though you do not want them.
    Cant wait till they are nerfed or removed from the group finder.
