We need explanations from ZOS

Please ZOS , we need explanations about the last minute changes you put on live with v3.1.5.

We need to know why you didn't let the things ( traits, mundus) as in 3.1.4.

You put in the last minute changes that community didn't know about them...and without testing them.

Seriously, people need to get over this. ZOS can put whatever changes they want last minute.
Clearly some people didn't read the EULA before clicking accept.

ZOS do not need to explain anything, if you farmed gear in prep for the patch so you don't have to after the changes, that is YOUR fault.

How do you know the changes were not tested?
ZOS don't need the public to test some stuff and most likely have another test server that is closed to the public like streamers who use it for a head start rather than actual testing.

It proves that PTS has been used so people can get a head start and not for actual bug testing, so some changes they won't make public until live to avoid the above simple as that.

Maybe some have learnt their lesson, should consider ourselves lucky we have PTS.

I actually like all the changes made, they have made some Mundus and traits now useful.

What's the point to have a PTS if they put on Live things that weren't on PTS ?

    This is the problem!

It is a problem, and the apologists who want to try to spray-clear it cant and wont succeed.

But, you'll never get a explination. The only thing you can do, is impact they're sales.

Impact them monitarily, and you will make progress.

You didn't read a single thing I put did you.

Again everyone is blind as to what the PTS is really for.

You go follow a streamer, each to their own, I am going to get back to working where my time is better suited than arguing with "much famous, much follow, much wow. such derp."

I'm on a console but it sounds like they made determinations based on feedback and testing from the pts and then went live with it.

    B 1:
Serious? Do you think they were tested as in-depth as streamers and theorycrafters will test them? I don't.

    B 2
No, it proves that people are actually testing changes, working out what's best for EVERYONE and sharing it with the whole community - All of this information is always shared, who's at an advantage?. All that'll happen now is, the same people will re-test everything and share that information again.

PTS is for their testing, not ours. It's not some kind of magical voting booth, unfortunately.

They ultimately decide what they're going to push through and what they aren't. Feedback, good, bad, or indifferent, has always played a limited role in this.

It's not the first time they've disregarded something and gone their own route with it, nor the first time they'd made an un(player)tested change.

It also won't be the last.

As to explanations, if you want explanations, read the patch notes. It's the closest thing you're going to get.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

What's the point to have a PTS if they put on Live things that weren't on PTS ?

    This is the problem!

It's not a problem if a developer responds to the feedback and internal data derived from the version on Test and makes appropriate changes when it goes on Live. It shows that both the developer and the testers have done their jobs, compared to what normally happens here when everyone complains because they didn't like what was on Test and the developers still put it on Live.

With all this drama maybe ZOS will improve their PTS cicles. Especially concerning balance changes.

I have a 50-50 stance on this matter. The nerf was harsh towards crit and crit dmg but I do agree crit builds were clearly BIS in PTS.

IMO bring Precise trait and mundus stones a bit up and keep the nerf on set bonuses.

    Yes. The answer is clear.

What OP should be concerned with is Zos not making changes to these values during an incremental PTS patch to obtain more information so they could make a better informed decision in the end.

I love this game but the last minute changes clearly reek of panic and or incompetence. The major swing on some of those changes totally go against what ZoS said their main goal was this patch. We went from high hopes of build diversity to just more of the same old stale metas. There was ZERO reason to set back precise and shadow as much as they did. The original changes weren't perfect but they seemed to be at least mathematically sound and thought out on a pure number level. The changes made to live seem like they were done by a completely different person and make no sense.

PTS is public testing server. Content tested does not necessarily have to be the same as content on live in near future. Nothing rocket science here to be honest.

For this time the lesson is: do not trust the stat, build or playstyle that does not the reflect what's actually on live server... Same goes for mother sorrow rush and pre-grind; torug infused SHTF terrors etc...

If you can't handle disappointment, don't participate on PTS and don't play a Templar.

For ESO, the PTS is a showcase of what is possibly coming; not a beta test.
