Achievement. I think its for finishing both dungeons.
LadyNalcarya wrote: »...No, I mean, for real. No sarcasm here. The new dlc dye looks almost as bright as the one from last year's Halloween dye stamps.
Which is pretty awesome since almost all other orange dyes are very pale and look like faded brown or grey on most of costumes and armors.

May I ask what costume/style you are wearing? It's amazing!

It looks hilarious on shiny armour. I nearly got my eyes burned out yesterday.

Sigil orange is only bright on shiny material. On cloth and "faded" materials it looks like brown (or brown with orange highlights). Heres a few examples:
Sigil Organge ---- Broodrot Wine
Haha yeah. Its like dye stamp colors, its very vivid.
Edit:lol-worthy typos

She looks like she's about to do the Gangnam Style dance. Yeah, I'm over it too, but I was painfully reminded.
Disclaimer: I think the character is beautiful.

Turns out brown on everything i wear it on.
This is a perfect example of how MMO's evolve, and this isnt a dig on the OP.
They start with a sales job about challenging content blah blah and evolve to threads on the particular shades of dye's.
Casuals take over, companies cater to them and whats left is usually by year 5 the casuals have circumvented just about most of if not all any corollary to what the initial intent of the game was, or rather the lie that was told initially.
Where it ends up? Google "Lord of the Rings online" they pick flowers for end game gear. Its just interesting to me as a long term MMO player to watch it transition and how the community as a whole moves with it.

Well, people like fancy stuff, regardless or their playstyle. Even Dark Souls veterans like it.
I dont see anything wrong with visual customisation, it doesnt inherently cause dumbing down the content etc.
There is nothing wrong with it, at this phase of the mmo's decline. My post was contextual, which is often lost on many on an mmo forum. To put it more simply, when we first got into tamriel and for a year or two in, we werent seeing a lot of "cool dye shade" posts, we were talking about how much of a *** it was to get to VR6, and QQing about zos nerfing XP in craglorn.
Of course then the only bonus's we had was gift of mara... Anyway, enjoy your shades of orange dye.
