People are gonna come in a say something along the lines of microsoft/ sony delay, cost etc...

Yet every other cross platform game i've played has them out on the same day. Zos are just cheap.

You can thank MS and Sony for this, they have to certify/approve all patches and updates to games so it takes longer.

I play PC but ignore the ones who claim we beta test because the patches are sent to MS and Sony when we get the pc update so no changes or fixes get made on console patches that these players claim they find and report.

Blame MS and Sony, no ZOS. Now if only you learned to use the search function you'd have noticed this gets asked and answered a ridiculous amount of times. You're beating a dead horse that is already beaten to a bloody pulp!

Even if consoles set delays on the date which they can release things which they might, But there is probably away around it either fork over the cash if that's what it takes to get console and pc on the same release date. or delay pc's release date until it can be released on console at the same time. games like dcuo are on pc and console and some how they manage to release both console and pc content on the same day. if they can do it i see no reason why zenimax couldn't also. if there is a reason for why it isn't happening. i would probably blame zos not sony or microsoft.

If that's the case I still blame ZOS because there's no pts for consoles meaning once again we get stuck with half arsed crap they couldn't fix before the release different system still have different problems!

Exactly, why not delay pc release date, hold it off till consoles release date, not 1 day earlier or late.
What's the discrimination against consoles players you are displaying here every few months, I just think ZOS you suck for doing this.

Why do you hate PC/Mac users?

It's not our fault that your console companies demand that console patches require that Zeni pay a fee to have the patch tested/certified and then take weeks testing the patch before granting authorization.

If the console patch fails certification - it isn't deployed until the code gets written to keep it from breaking your console.

If the PC/Mac patch is released on the same day that the console code goes to the console companies for testing - and the PC/Mac code borks PC/Mac units to the point where a computer needs a reinstall - how has that benefited us and hurt you?

PC patches get released, then get hot patched, and the hot patches get hot patched, and then the servers get reset....

That happen to your consoles really often, does it?

Do you want to delay a console software release until the PC hot-patches get ironed out, maybe?
'cuz a PC release aint been without issue yet....

The test server IS our review, and our stuff gets released into the wild, broken, a whole more often than the console companies pass broken code for release to you guys.

It is only 1 week and so what if for the last three months the official release date was say August 22nd that is what everyone would expect.

Why would I want to, when I can replace outmoded equipment in my computer more easily than you can with a console, and I can update it for new games that push the envelope that is constrained by a console's architecture??

But everybody knows console patches are delayed. There would be complains and 1-2 weeks of PTS where nothing matters because that wont be the version released. Then, after release, PC would get bug patch next week and consoles would have to again wait 1-2 weeks longer unless that bug patch is too delayed so console snowflakes don't feel discriminated.

Take todays patch as a positive instead of a negative. When ZOS comes out with a bunch of changes on launch the meta chasers on consoles have two weeks to let PC players adapt and find what's best. I play Xbox NA and personally I love watching this chaos unfold. Granted I made a ton of gold off of console people buying my mothers sorrow stuff this last week. Lol

To be honest at least they can test builds out and stuff on PC so you get a heads up before the release. Go farm the gear you need for the next patch whilst your characters are unaffected... I don't understand the problem.

Also you should research how content is pushed onto consoles first...

There is certainly a console certification process.

I think the difference is maybe some companies hold back the PC patch until the other ones can go live. Especially needed if they are actually cross platform, ESO is not.

both Sony and Microsoft have a 2 week verification process that all patches have to go through (from what I understand). ZOS releases the patch for all platforms at the same time....it is Sony and Microsoft that hold those patches for the 2 weeks before release
