I can't find a single guide out there for a PvE Templar Tank. I'm talking about being able to do vHRC HM, vAA HM, vMoL, vHoF.

Is it because don't have a reliable source of stamina (Repentence sucks) return like DKs do?

Yea, they really don't have any good way of getting back stamina and they have little to offer the team, the DKs Shields for example gives more then a templar tanks heals would since now only will the heals be low but Strong damage shields better complements the already strong heals of the 2 actual healers.

Now with the change to luminous shards they could technically use magicka to get stamina back but even if it was picked up by a stamina user it would not give all that much and you can only get stamina/magicka back from it every 20s. Not very reliable. Everything else they could do to be able to sustain themselves better would be at the cost of armor sets, something that Dragonknights, Wardens, Nightblades and even Sorcerers don't have to do. Not obviously if you learn to drop block a lot more and you learn when to heavy attack then it would be more viable, but its harder to do and doesn't give all that much back for the effort.

However in 4 man content such as Veteran Dungeons or Dragonstar Arena they are pretty solid, repentance works great there and few things needs to be blocked and they can basically go in like a PvP blazeplar and deal a lot of damage too. But even that is overshadowed by the Nightblades DPS and Heal combo in 4 man content. Templars really don't have a lot going for them in terms of tanking. They don't have any group CCs really either. I mean they do have a lot of snares but its not like Choking Talons, Gripping Shards or Encase.
