Been wondering whether proc sets could be made to work in this manner, actually. Add a new useable ability or some such. I do like the thought of more potential skill variety, however I'm not sure how feasible this would really be. Looks like a whole new can of worms, and the skills might not even be worth using in the end. Besides, optional changes to existing skills could be achieved by implementing additional morphs, so what would be the advantage of a set?

Good idea, sounds like this would open up a lot of build oppertunities with skills that are underperforming. If you sacrifice a 5pc bonus it must be a decent bonus to the skill to make it worth having one less 5pc bonus.

That is actually a simple but effective suggestion, I'd want to see 3 morphs of each skill!

i think this would be good- i think sets should be used to empower skills, provide new skills and utility- but also have some kind of acitivation or cost for using them. so for example the synergy button could be used to activate the set specific skill or cast. i have said before - that i think molag kena set is the best set in the game- design wise. because it has a benefit- but it also has a cost, it has strenghts- but require judgement, skill and decision making and management to use well. all sets in the game should be like this- rather than simply- "do X times more damage" , that kills the skill factor in the game and takes away from the long term health i think. we want a game where sets make you stronger- but also widen the skill base , allowing for more varied choices in play and counter play. most of all- there has to be a cost to simply doing more damage- such as a hit to your resources- like kena does. thge one time they did it right in my estimation.
