Like for example a rank in my guild is Herald. So the title would show Herald *insert name* <of Wolf and Raven>

I believe in-game incentives would not only be a great addition to the guild system but would also go a long way to foster guild pride and representation. Should capes be a "GM only" feature? (jokes)
Yes. As long as all you GMs are forced to wear the "blanket tied to your ankles" cape that came with the Breton Hero costume lulz
I wish I had an option to hide the actual tabard when I am wearing only my armour.
A costumes hides the tabard, but we still represent our guild with the name underneath our psn name (in my case, being on ps4). I'd like the option to have it this way when I am not wearing a costume.

I've already seen ideas heraldry on shields, capes, and other equipment, but I think it would be cool to have guild emotes (like planting a flag in the ground for your guild or waving one above your head... the planted one would disappear if you move... to prevent flags being left all over the game). Those emotes could be tied to guild rank.

I wear a unique costume so these would get me to change that in some way for or another.
- guild banner
- guild cape
- guild costume
- guild dye with guild logo

I mean, who would be fearful of angry apron-wearing, weapon-wielding mob? They only look like a bunch of hospitalised nutheads running around and I find that funny in a warzone.
What's the point of crafting gear in a favourite style that took months to farm or £££$$$ to buy, playing around with the colours, that took many months to earn (most drop sets and costumes can easily be made to look good at the dye station too) and getting the look and feel of your character just right, to then cover it with a tabard 'designed' by someone else !
Tabards are primarily for PVP guild raid groups and events.
Even then the majority clash and are ugly as hell as the tabard creation system is limited in the first place.
All good guilds have a *** taste in fashion scrolls...
Hide tabard option ?

Like someone else previously said it covers up the motifs that we want to show off. Even a cape might cover up the character's behind, which is personally an important factor when I pick a motif for my female characters to use. The only way for the Guild Tabard system to merge appropriately with the motif system without compromising either is for the ESO design team to go through each individual motif and pick where to place a guild symbol on it.
